Is this Ref blind?? That was a clear foul by Hakimi on Vini Jr.

Paqueta and Casemiro have been caught in possession by the Moroccan midfield press in this half. The Moroccan midfield really rattled Brazil at first but things seem a little matched now. Both going pound for pound in the midfield battle.

Iwobi eventually coped with this Moroccan midfield press despite one or 2 times he got caught (one of them was even a foul not called against Morocco).

Onyeka coped brilliantly against the Moroccan press.

It is Onyedika that struggled most against this same Moroccan press.
We struggle when we meet teams with a strong midfield. Showed against morocco, portugal Dr congo. We need better midfielders who can cope with strong midfields like that. Dr congo too physical and intensive, morocco too tactical, portugal too skillful and technical. We should try onuche ogbelu in midfield. Other natural midfielders. We need natural midfielders. I know the issue football starts and ends in the top 5 leagues of Europe so it's stupid to look there. Anyway we should just get midfielders anyhow. There is the one a guy in Germany and other foreign born. Also Ebenezer akinsanmiro and I hope victor eletu gets his club career going. Iwobi simply gets ineffective and arrested when he meets a mature midfield.
We need to increase our midfield options

Thank you. Hakimi should have been on a yellow. He really escaped that one.

Yea.. Brazil found a way to finally settle and calm things down.

BTW how do you see Bouaddi? The kid is a baller. Arsenal should have sealed the deal earlier

Thiago shouldn't be starting for Brazil normally. I see Rayan displacing him. Just look at the free header he missed. Few weeks ago, he missed some chances against United that really turned my belle.

Im sorry, we can't evolve with iwobi, ndidi et cetera midfield. We simply can't.

Brazil midfield is weak. Paqueta, Casmeiro & Bruno haven’t impressed me at all.
Good individual players but weak collectively, they couldn’t keep the ball, so many misplaced passes, hopefully they grow into the game.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 12:04am On Jun 14
Bouaddi is near-elite already at 18. Morocco really bagged a WC talent (talent not WC player) there ooo. France losing Bouaddi is one of the shocks of 2026 to be honest.

And Arsenal... I thought your club is still in. 50-70M+ is Lille's valuation not so? Pay the damn money naa.

Aside Uche, there is no midfielder currently not in the NT that will do better than the ones already in the NT. Uche is imposing, can shoot and also technical and I pray he regains his form this season.
Ogbelu that has left Tunisia to Tanzania or so? He is not even better than Ayobami Junior or the Ikorodu United guy that came in against Zimbabwe in the last Unity Cup. There is nothing Elutu, Akinsanmiro would offer to the SE that Nnadi, Onyeka and Iwobi aren't offering already.

Watching this Moroccan team and how their FB has contributed to the technicalities of their play, I just wished players like Eze and Olise choose to play for Nigeria.

If u really think it's easy for them to get the national job, think again.

Make una dey always leave our ex internationals for us.

If they hustle for national jobs, problem, if they don't, still problem.

These are legends that have brought joy for us at some points

It's not even easy for black Europeans to get a coaching job,you have to be really good.
Have they gotten any jobs on the African continent?

How many of them have even tried coaching in thr Nigerian league?

Loll

Their priorities aren't to develop young talents or coach. They aren't that cerebral

I want us to meet Morocco again at the next AFCON, but this time without the same washed up players like Ajayi, Simon and Moses in our future line up...let's see the likes of Benjamin, Azeez, Zadok ,Bewene etc in that battle.

With how Berta operates (opening discussions with multiple targets at almost same time), Bouaddi might not be the main target. I would love to see him at Arsenal though. There are enough outgoings to fund the transfer.

Aside Chelle's current MF options of Iwobi, Ndidi, Onyeka, Nnadi, Alhassan, Onyedika, and FDB... surely we are not there yet in terms of near-perfect midfield backups and Chelle knows but we are also making solid decent progress.

On more MF options...

Surely Akinsanmiro will add something as he is a technically brilliant and combative Mezzala. His workrate will also suit Chelle's system.

David Moses and Mubarak Suleiman at Slavia are CM/DM and CAM/B2B profiles respectively and are huge workrate demons. Very technical, fast, covers grounds and are physically intense. Young quality options they are.

The rejuvenated Midfield version of Christantus Uche is also another solid option. That guy is our hidden Yaya. The Palace loan really slowed his momentum but I expect he will get his mojo back in Spain.

Otomewo and Ridwan are young (both 19) but absolutely very physically dominant and press resistant MF options to look at with time.

So relax... Chelle is cooking. I have it on good authority he is also looking at 1 particular name (a foreign born) outside these options mentioned. He is still watching out for these guys and more in terms of Upgrades and getting a truly established quality midfield pool.
