We keep saying these things and people start getting overly sensitive. Morocco are running things now in football. Countries like Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Benin and Togo to name a few are investing serious money into the development of their age grade teams. Thank God for Eric Chelle. Nigeria would have fallen off the face of the earth. He is grooming a new set of talents that can prosecute for the SE for the next 6-8 years at the very least. Can we trust the likes of Eguavoen, Finidi or people like Peseiro to not just identify these talents but, give them a chance and also unlock their full potential the way Chelle has?
We had robust age grade framework from 2007 - 2015 which produced Iheanacho, Awoniyi, Ndidi, Uzoho, Osimhen, Chukwueze.

What happened?

Naija is coming. It is legendarily said that a fine attack wins you games but a solid defence wins you tournaments/titles. We have the attack already. Midfield is being operated on. Defence? Our quality pool have never been stronger in recent times. Naija dey come.... no noise. No fanfare.

🚨 As well as Wagner Pina, Fulham also hold a strong interest in Nigeria CB Chibuike Nwaiwu. Trabzonspor have valued the defender at €35m.

There is also interest from German giants Bayer Leverkusen for the powerful 22yo

Germany vs Curacao.... I trust we all know this is a game more about how well Curacao can limit the Germans in terms of Scoring coz the German Machines are expected to run riot but there is a thing with tournament 1st games. If your nerves dont settle early or if you slowly grow into a game, things can go south or you end up underperforming.

We will see what Nagelsmann's men have for us vs D*ck Advocaat's.

Am I the only one who is not expecting a high score line from this game?
Because I don't think German will be interested in going all out today inspite of how ruthless they can be

I am known for being a ruthless critic of naija football. In fact, I hardly praise them

But you see these things I am seeing on the ti.eline because of Morocco draw with Brazil is just beer parlor football talk

Morocc9 has improved since AFCON but so has Nigeria

The Brazilian team the Moroccans faced aren't the best Brazilian team. They have become Europeans and have lost thwir footballing identity. This is a wild take but I dare say that if Brazil had gone strictly with their home-based best with a home-based coach they would've beaten morocco.

Morocco beat us in AFCON because they had support of thw ref who gave them the 50/50 calls and made sure to kill all our attacking forays.

I'm not saying the Moroccans are trash but I'm saying that we shouldn't start hyping them like they are clearly better than the Super Eagles. The only team I fear facing in Africa is Senegal. That's the only team I can agree is better than us in all aspects (bar coaching maybe)

With the rubbish I have seen many countries play in this world cup, I dare say that had we qualified, and qih chelle as our coach, we'd have done way better.

There's no way Australia is beating us. Not even Mexico or Switzerland. We just held Portugal to a 2:1 loss against thwir fast team while missing many of our regulars.

I have seen many teams play and I'm not even impressed with the standard of play so far. Super Eagles with an osimhen, lookman and akor will so feast. You guys have no idea what Chelle has done to these guys and their mentality

And I predict Morocco to get booted out in R16 or maybe (a very big maybe) in the quarter finals. They aren't invincible. They just didn't face a wrll-oiled Brazilian team

Anything less than 4-0 is a loss to Germany

I love how Germany revived the 1990 winning West Germany jersey...its given mathaus, voller n klinsmann vibes

Simmy picked form late toward the start of the world cup.. although he was scoring tap ins and penalties grin.. but the fact that he played in Serie A made it hard not to include him..
na true sha, but you see why most times we favour experienced over young prospects…
To me i go prefer chukwu to go with that party over that tap ins and penalties merchant of serie A who will not even stay 6months in super eagles before disappearing forever 😄😅after 4caps

Don’t call Mozambique, Uganda etc where Nigeria is
That isn’t our level na
Tunisia do not have a good generation of players so they are really beneath us
We conceded 2 silly goals in that game
No be Tunisia dem beat 5 recently ?
We didn’t do well against Morocco, they controlled most of the game
We had only 2 shots
Watch Algeria first half, the ref gave most or all of the 50/50 duels to Nigeria
The ball even struck Ajayis arm in the PK box and the referee couldn’t even check when they complained, even though FIFA rule says ball hitting the thigh first isn’t a pen
There’s no recent proof we can beat the big guns in Africa in regular time
Can we beat Ivory Coast, Senegal, Ghana, Morocco, Egypt, DRC and South Africa in regular time ?
At least we are doing better than Cameroon sha lol
I think we need to get off our high horses and get to work
Decent countries don’t fear Nigeria outside Africa if you ask me
Can the big guns you mention also beat us in regular time, with all their qualifications to 100 worldcups?

So what kind of teenage profile would you prefer to be invited to the the senior national team? Just any teenager that you think is good should be included in your XI and leave out the experienced ones equally doing well in top leagues .

Any teenager that proved himself among the big boys have always been welcomed.
Iheanacho was not a Teenager at 2018 world cup, he was already 22yrs old
