humberjade:There is no fire. Tinubu knows the crooked game he is playing. Elrufai is the only agile Northerner that can mobilize anti-Tinubu forces across the North. Between now and December, watch Tinubu give key appointments to grassroot politicians from the North. He knows he is more popular than Obi in the North, He knows he has bought all South East governors and they will puncture into Obi's south east votes for him, He also has SS governors working with him. His only goal now is to prevent Atiku from being on the ballot |

If the law says underperforming parties should be deregistered, then INEC must comply. Rules should apply to everyone |

PigTormentor:He is right, so i don't think Tinubu will be getting such block votes again from the same North. Even though you don't live here in Nigeria, so not everything happening here you should be cho cho cho mouth in. |

fergie001:Exactly! The case will not survive Appeal. But what he has succeeded in doing is giving ADC some momentary disorientation. Obi is a wise man. |
| Re: Court Orders INEC To Deregister ADC, Accord Three Other Political Parties by kedeojo(m): 5:16pm On Jun 15 |
bolaayenimo:That won't still make obi the beneficiary cos Tinubu will inherit Atiku votes if that happened. I don't think it will stay cos of the volatile nature of the country. obi has no pathway to presidency in 2027. he should clamour for Biafra and lead them to prosperity like he did in anambra. |
| Re: Court Orders INEC To Deregister ADC, Accord Three Other Political Parties by kedeojo(m): 5:19pm On Jun 15 |
Mattswaggz:Obi didn't use any sense cos he only ran from ADC primary for a free ticket on NDC. If Atiku had step down for him in ADC, you mean he will have still left. una too dey reason like pure illiterate. |

Penguin2:Nit that. He has made a fool of himself as usual. He is the one handling Bala Gombe vs Mark... ADC has said they don't want him, yet he fixed judgement tomorrow. Again, to show he is fooling himself, ZLP won 15 Chairmanship seats in Abia ADC won two Reps seats in 2023, APP won seats in Rivers before the SC judgement. Accord has reps.... Not just that, Adeleke wanted to join the suit, he declined that since his party is already a defendant, no need. This is contrary to the judgement of the Supreme Court in Eyitayo Jegede Vs Akeredolu, APC & Ors. Adeleke is an interested Party yet Lifu rejected it, he is now a political and IDP Judge. Adeleke now appealed, the Appeal Court now said Lifu should not give any judgement until the matter is settled at the Appeal Court and thereafter adjourned till 17th Oct, yet when raised in Court today, Justice Peter said NO. Imagine saying No to a higher Court, these people will destroy what is left of democracy. Tomorrow, he will likely rule Bala is Chairman of NDC, just watch and see 😂 All parties will approach the Appeal Court and get a stay of execution, the matter will be thrown out eventually. For Peter Obi, you think he is safe 😂😂😂 They are coming, just relax/. |

This government is looking for another thing. They should continue using INEC to perpetrate their evil agenda. They should not start what they would not finish |

InfoGuru118:The appeal is very likely to happen quickly, and here’s a realistic assessment of how it might go:1. Will they appeal?Yes — almost certainly. The affected parties (especially ADC and Accord Party) have already indicated they will challenge the judgment. ADC (with Atiku Abubakar as presumed 2027 candidate) and Accord Party (with sitting Governor Ademola Adeleke) have the strongest motivation and resources to appeal. The other three (AA, APP, ZLP) are smaller and may struggle financially but will likely join or ride on the bigger parties’ appeals. 2. Where will the appeal go?First stop: Court of Appeal (Abuja Division) Final stop (if needed): Supreme Court The parties can also apply for a stay of execution (to stop INEC from deregistering them immediately while the appeal is pending).3. Likely Grounds of AppealThe parties will argue:The court misinterpreted or misapplied Section 225A of the Constitution. Some of them actually won seats in the National Assembly or State Houses (e.g., ADC claims it won some House seats). Governor Adeleke’s defection and Accord’s performance in Osun State should be considered. The judgment is politically motivated to weaken the opposition ahead of 2027. INEC had not previously deregistered them, so the court cannot now compel deregistration. 4. Chances of Success (Realistic Outlook)Party Strength of Case Chance of Winning Appeal Key Factor ADC Moderate Medium Seats won + big names Accord Relatively stronger Medium-High Sitting Governor (Adeleke) AA, APP, ZLP Weak Low Very poor performance Historically, the Supreme Court has upheld INEC’s power to deregister non-performing parties (as done in 2020 when 74 parties were removed). However, because this involves a sitting governor (Adeleke) and a major opposition coalition (ADC), the appellate courts may be more cautious. A stay of execution is quite likely to be granted so that the parties can still participate in elections while the case is pending. 5. TimelineNotice of Appeal: Within days or weeks. Hearing at Court of Appeal: Could take 3–9 months. If it reaches Supreme Court: Could drag into 2027. Bottom line: The deregistration order is not yet final. Most political observers expect the parties (especially Accord and ADC) to get a stay, allowing them to continue operating at least until the appeal is decided. |

This is obviously tinibu's game plan to knock out atiku from the presidential election so he will automatically inherit most of the northern votes but I thought that guy from kogi in the house of rep won his election using the adc platform in 2023? The courts might be also coming for peter obi's ndc with this political judgment. |

stuffs2002:You said Peter Obi is no where near Tinubu. And I ask, by what measure did you draw your assumption? Peter Obi won the 2023 presidential election. Your Tinubu rigged the election to his favour and to rig the 2027 election is the only hope of APC. You are therefore directly saying that Tinubu will rig the election again. |

kelechiazubike1:Good talk 👍. But Many would not reason that the Constitutional Benchmark is Part of Democratic Values System - for a Country like Nigeria that is Still Experimenting: • the Rule of Law- which Makes the Law Supreme, • Equality Before the Law. •The Independent and Impartial Judiciary and •That We Must learn to Obey the Rules, than any Party or their Officers Gallivanting - as if they Own Nigeria, •For We Must Be Disciplined - in All Ramifications as No Individual or Even Any Party Is Above the Law. - It is a Big Lesson For the Politicians and the Future- that we Must Do The Right Thing - for Democracy to trives. |
