What do you think of Luca Zidane's attempt to stop it? He got 2 hands to it but not strong enough. Should be doing better to stop that in my opinion but then Advantage Messi and Argentina.
Agreed 100%.

Keshi reserves bench was very weak no replacement for Onazi
Ganiyu Aziz would have been the right replacement but legend has it that Mikel Obi said no. Also Keshi had discarded Igiebor and surprisingly left out Sunday Mba.

If they played 9 out of 10 times , Spain will win. That one time Spain wouldn't win is what we call luck. Will u dare stick your neck out tomorrow for Cape Verde to get a draw again, now that the Spanish side recognizes their opponent better? I bet you'd almost not.
You can only play the opponent that is in front of you. Spain no sabi play ball. All that sleek and endless passing is not football jare

Messi has left Mbappe behind. Messi has 15 WC Goals now in WC History. Tied with R9.

Only Klose has scored more now.

TheSuperNerd:
Messi and Mbappe are neck and neck on 14 WC goals now.

Ronaldo R9 - 15

Miroslav Klose - 16

The WC Scoring record of 16 is falling yakata in 2026.

Algerian goalkeeper just didn't give them a chance in this game.

Messi with another goal . Maybe 🤔 hatrick today ?
*Only These three—Messi, Ronaldo, and Ochoa—are the only male players in history to appear in six FIFA World Cups.*
I will not be surprised to see Argentina vs France / Germany final . One of these three if not two will play final.

Lionel Messi almosssttt gets 16 WC goals but Luca Zidane's hands are now strong enough to stop that goal bound effort. A super save.

Some Ref decisions at this WC though...

We saw Hakimi escape vs Brazil for his studs tackle on Vinicius.

We saw Mane escape a foul on Mbappe in the box.

Now in this game, Messi did escape for a bad foul on Aissa Mandi... studs on calf... really bad. Mandi is lucky he did not sustain a really bad injury there.

Okay, Algeria got really spanked. This is only the 2nd time Algeria is losing in their last 26 games in regulation time.... the last loss? Against the Super Eagles of Nigeria 2-0 at the Afcon this year.

Since the Afcon loss, Algeria have faced Guatemala (7-0 win), Uruguay (0-0 draw), Netherlands (1-0 win), Bolivia (4-0 win).... and then came Messi and his gang of World Champions. grin

Austria vs Jordan is next. Algeria's next 2 opponents.

Algeria is a good team, and they played well today against this old Argentina team. This Argentina team is an old team; the result in this game was not actually a true reflection of the game.

The Algerian goalkeeper made Messi look great tonight. Messi, to me, is the greatest footballer of all time, but you see, for tonight's game, that Algerian goalkeeper made him look great tonight. If the Algerian goalkeeper had not been just terrible, this game would have been tied going into the last 15 to 20 minutes of the game, and the Algerian would not have overcommitted for that third Messi goal. This is an old Argentine team; they will be exposed in the knockout stages when they jam any of the dark horses or contenders in this World Cup.

All my Algerian friends I was watching the game with in a bar here in Houston are all ready to lynch Zidane. They were aware that he was the weakest member of their team, and their fears were confirmed with his atrocious display tonight.

Algeria needs to get over the loss quickly and realize that Argentina did not outplay them today. The Algerian team I saw today was not in any shape or form inferior to the Argentine team that defeated them 3-0. In '94 Bulgaria lost 3-0 against Nigeria, but they came back and made it all the way to the semifinals.

If you take out the horrible goalkeeping, I liked what I saw from the Algerians today, and this team can easily beat Jordan and get at least a draw against Austria.

I hope this 64 nation nonsense continues to remain theoretical and never comes to fruition abeg.

It breaks my heart.

Even at parties and other social events, refreshments/food for kids is almost always an afterthought, especially when the supply of drinks is tailored towards the taste of men, then women.
In Nigeria, children are to be seen, not heard.

The mentality also extends to Nigerian youths. It's why old hags keep hogging government jobs and political positions like say dem wan die for office. Meanwhile youths are crying about unemployment.

In the World Cup Messi is greater than Ronaldo .

In the champions league, Ronaldo is greater than Messi.
