It has spiritual implications, though not everyone believes that. You can hardly find an ordinary person rearing it. In fact, once people see you rearing it, they automatically assume it's connected to some spiritual purpose. You have elders around you, so kindly make your findings from them as well.

Here is a simplified way to train them.
1. Find an enclosed space like a chicken coop to house them.
2. Provide warmth. They are clustering because they are cold. Provide heat but make sure they don't get burnt.
3. Get a mudu of Super-Starter chicken feed and begin to feed them asap as they may not be able to swallow big grains.
4. Get virucine or iodine (from a chemist shop), put one drop in 1 ltr of water and give them as drinking water.
5. Give bitterleaf water once in a while. Small concentration in water.
6. Update the house from time to time.
You may soon have them laying in no time. If done well, you may become a millionaire from this as they hatch plenty and can fill your space in 1 yr.

Get a lantern to keep them warm. Buy feed, or get millet, or ground guinea corn for them. How are you coping with their sound? I bought the eggs of the foreign quail, gave it to my hen to hatch in 1995. Those chicks were beautiful, and their sound could be disturbing.

No Sir Guinea Fowls are called "Awo" in yoruba while quails are called "Aparo" in yoruba.

oga keep your birds ..... Quails are wonderful birds their eggs are very nutritional...though they make a lot of noise...if you can withstand the noise and I pray you have your own compound...you will never regret you caught them... ...

Get few broilers of say 5 days old and rear it with the quail buy the regular feed for them. You can also buy antibiotics for them.they are very easy to maintain but don't expose them to too much cold
