It doesn’t have to be a “messi” kinda player…an old player still playing top level outstanding old player should not be discarded anyhow..
Ochoa 40 is not in the league of Messi
Manuel Neuer is not Messi.

If Iwobi by 2030 is still actively playing for a big or a decent team and playing well he should guide the younger generation by then
I just tire like say na greek we dey talk here even Dzeko for Bosnia at 40 is in this World Cup, person wey play against Nigeria in the 2014 world cup o

If you were the referee would you give god Messi a red?
It wasn't intentional and not even the Algerian player would have allowed the referee to give Messi a red card
Speak for yourself, I will give him a straight red card Sharp
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 5:53pm On Jun 17
Yep, the whole of football celebrates so much that the same Szymon Marciniak who officiated the 2022 Final was the same one who handled Messi's hattrick game vs Algeria and did not even deem it fit to caution messi with a card at least for that dangerous tackle. A tackle that was 100% red card worthy. Mandi's career may have ended right there.

I like Messi but I hate clear favoritism. His 16 WC goals is good for football shaa but the favoritism is not.

Sugarboyy:
When Messi almost scored his hat trick that the Algeria GK saved, the camera showed Infantino almost jumping in celebration that Messi had scored. The whole world of football celebrates whenever Messi does well

Meanwhile, CR7 is up next vs DRC and eyes are on him to join in the party like Mbappe (Brace), Haaland (Brace) and Messi (Hattrick and new oldest player to score a WC hattrick, a record previously held by Ronaldo himself).

DRC going with a defensively solid setup. No Sadiki in midfield though.

DRC continuing from where they stopped in 1974.

Hope another heavy defeat is not loading.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 6:09pm On Jun 17
DRC have only made 12 passes vs Portugal's 84 prior to Joao Neves' opener.

Portugal are not here to beat around the bush. They mean business!!! Chaaiii

Sometimes it's also because despite their ages, they are still better than the younger ones.
If Iwobi is still playing at the top and no better younger MF comes up by 2030, I'm very sure Iwobi will still play. Ndidi is still playing because there is no younger player who can do better than him in his SE position.
Yeaa true

If Silva can get carded for that, then Messi and Hakimi should not have escaped theirs. It is well. I hope the Refereeing improves and is more consistent by the K.O rounds.

They are becoming more confident let’s see if can they level up and give the Portuguese a run for their money but another sheer brilliance from the red boys can be shattering

I was watching Bouaddi, and I was having a football orgasm. What a player. As mentioned before, to have an elite-level national team, you have to have technical ball-playing players in every position. The decline of the Super Eagles started when non-ball-playing players like Troost-Ekong, Omurue, Ajayi, Balogun, and Frank Onyeka started playing paramount roles in the Super Eagles.

I was watching the USA '94 Super Eagles games at the World Cup, and every single player on that team was so comfortable and technical on the ball. This is why I said the likes of Semi Ajayi and Sanusi need to be thanked and retired from the national team if we are really serious about competing with the big boys.

Morocco is a really good team, and they can really go far in this tournament. The people clamoring for all these junk NPFL players and non-technical ball-playing players don't really wish well for the Super Eagles to perhaps, in their lifetime, be in the semi-finals or finals of a World Cup.
Second paragraph seems accurate to me.

Bruno Fernandes and Joao Neves are the spark in this game for Portugal. Wan-Bissaka is not giving Ronaldo a breathing space

Nothing will happen to Mandi or his career trust me. He might still end's up officiating the final of this WC.
Don't forget there is var, why didn't the var guys called him to check the foul?

What is wrong with this Portugal midfield?

They seem to be lost in the short short passes…

Bruno Fernandes must wake up and lay some lob passes to Ronaldo. Damn they’re not helping him at all.

Ronaldo is just walking around the pitch bro, no impacts.

Just waiting for free through pass

What did I say again about Yoane Wissa? Fearless and capable.

DRC have responded well to going down to be fair. They worked hard off the ball while Portugal had all the possession and restricted the Portuguese threats.

DRC's first WC Goal in their history. The name is Yoane Wissa.
