Hello, I will be documenting my Mazda 2 2016 experience here for knowledge sharing and perhaps quicker assistance sake. Due to the fluctuating higher fuel price, I needed something for intercity movement. Had to get the small car, Nigerian used. Went with a mechanic to inspect the car. He certified engine and gear okay. There are few Christmas lights on the dash and the bumpers are in bad shape. So far, getting a new bumper has been a hurdle. Only the skeletal bumper is available at Ladipo. I searched Ojuelegba, not available. My search continues. Will be updating the thread as I'm starting the journey with refurbishing the body.

For Onitsha here,I know where you can repair the bumper with fiber and it'll be very good. You can still snap the bumper and show me here so I can look it up for you. |

What type of engine does this one use? What's its name and code? |
| Re: Mazda 2 2016 Experience by buygala(m): 8:58pm On Jun 17 |
Mazda 2 ke Parts prices will likely erode whatever gain you might make on fuel costs Kindly tell us how much you bought the skeletal bumper at Ladipo for a start Nigerians tend to forget that fuel is only one of the many expenses involved in having a car...what's the point of saving money on fuel but can't find vehicle parts, or the parts are expensive ? |

| Re: Mazda 2 2016 Experience by nedekid: 9:13pm On Jun 17 |
Oga did you scan the car? At least your mechanic should have plugged it in to see those lights flashing on the dash. Even if it is a basic elm obd 2, atleast you will be able to see the stored faults. You can even perform checks to see the vacuum, compression of the engine, the O2 sensors live reading etc. Someone once bought a clean looking sienna, her mechanic said it was a good buy, by the time she used it, the bloody thing was drinking fuel like a drunkard downing bottles of beer. Omo, by the time that car was scanned, it has no o2 sensors, I don't know how it was done but the map sensor was not functional, infact all the vacuum hoses were gone or the ports blocked, all the speed sensors were all ripped out, infact the abs had been condemned. Omo, neat car but the ultimate lemon. Basic obd2 is cheap, it will save you a lot.
