João Félix should start with Ronaldo in their next match. Only he understands Ronaldo in this Portugal squad.

Sometimes when I hear Thierry Henry talk about Cristiano Ronaldo at this WC, it irks me. Like who is Henry to Ronaldo? Ronaldo came to England and owned him and Arsenal at Highbury. Henry has never liked Ronaldo since that day.

Is it Zlatan? Ofcos Zlatan still beefs Ronaldo for outclassing him every damn time at Club level and then ultimately at International level.

In 2014, ahead of the 2014 WC in Brazil, Sweden Battled Portugal for the WC ticket via the Euro Qualifiers Playoffs. 1st leg saw Ronaldo score in a 1-0 win.

Second leg was titanic... Zlatan's Brace for Sweden vs Ronaldo's Hattrick for Portugal. Portugal won and knocked Sweden out of WC Playoffs 4-2.

Both men do not like C.Ronaldo and will take any opportunity to trash him be it subtly or otherwise.

That is not analysis. That is pure blooded beefing.

Henry analysing Ronaldo's game as if he did not have his stinkers despite having Zidane behind him. Where was Henry vs Senegal in 2002? He should go sit down and respect CR7 abeg.

I read it via Players' tribune on X. It's beautiful and he is on his way to becoming Africa's first 100M euros transfer signing. Liverpool put in a 100M bid but it was rejected by RB Leipzig. Liverpool is expected to try again.

Yan Diomande that played 2022 Wafu B U17 Afcon Qualifiers for CIV vs Emmanuel Michael(LASK), Abubakar Abdullahi (Genk), Yahaya Lawali (Karvina), etc... .is now Africa's most valuable player on the market today according to Transfermrkt.
And the same guy was rejected by MLS teams, can you imagine and many EPL teams.

Ronaldo doesn't realize that Messi is a different kind of player from him.

Ronaldo is a CF/ Winger whose style of play typically involved non-stop energetic running on and off the ball and high leaps in the air to finish crosses. Certainly not a job description suitable to a 41 years old man. Even Ronaldo's dribbling and shooting style requires energy and peak fitness. What will he do now that age is catching up with him?

Messi on the other hand, is comfortable playing basically as a No. 10 with young players ahead of him to do the running while he finishes off cutbacks, one-twos and orchestrates play from deep with little or no running required.

Messi has never been a pressing type of player, his game is centered around lurking around the midfield, looking for the perfect space and opportunity to receive the ball and then surge forward. Messi's dribbling style (body feints) requires no energy and appears almost effortless, relying on pure natural instinct. His shots are more finesse and placement than raw power.

This means Messi is naturally built to last much longer than Ronaldo. It's actually a credit to Ronaldo's legendary discipline and fitness routine that he is still able to play at all but he just needs to tell himself the truth.
Ronaldo is superhuman but Messi is a god.

Czech has a great pedigree in football, from their days when they were known as Czechoslovakia, along with Bosnia and Croatia together known as Yugoslavia so many years ago, these are the powerhouses of Eastern Europe in the game, in fact, they were a threat to their western counterparts like Germany and co. Reason I'm shocked with their display so far, perhaps the game has taken a huge nosedive in the respective countries
Wrong. Croatia made up the bulk of Yugoslavia by a large margin, followed by Bosnia and Herzegovina. Czech was never part of the Yugoslavs.

Mujtahida:
We had robust age grade framework from 2007 - 2015 which produced Iheanacho, Awoniyi, Ndidi, Uzoho, Osimhen, Chukwueze.

What happened?
Developing age-grade teams requires patience, structural funding, and integrity. But in our system, structural chaos is profitable. We replaced a systematic, long-term talent pipeline with a desperate, short-sighted reliance on ready-made products. Not only do we fail to do the heavy lifting of grassroots investment and development, we can't even do the bare minimum of scouting dual-nationality players abroad. Did you know that this Zadok Yohanna people are cheering for today was reportedly dropped from U-20 by Aliyu Zubairu? Hehehe. There are academies in this country who have the sole monopoly on the age grade teams, and out of their selfish, smelling interests, they keep spamming these teams with average players, instead of seeking out the exceptional talents the way countries like England and Morocco do.

Shey you remember that Joseph story. His brothers sold him not knowing they're pushing him to his glory.

Imagine one MLS team had sign him then, judging by how that league is, I doubt he would have been where he is today.

South Korea vs South Africa.
Korea lost but they are only half in danger. Lose against south Africa, SA goes second and they risk missing the third place ranking as 3 points and 0 goal difference might not be enough to see them through. They need a draw to confirm second place since Czech are on zero ponts but it is a tricky thing to do as South Africa will need an outright win to even be hopeful of a place in the knockout rounds. The stage is set for a juicy matchup next week.

Don't mind them

When some people just like you, they become blind to the apparent flaws

Ask them his strengths now and they'll go blank or give you outright lies

I don't know what that guy offers the national team

If you ask me what he even does, I can't mention a thing

It's thw same thing they did with Nwakali

They don't learn

That's why I call him Nwakali 2.0
Has he played for super eagles?
