I used to have issue with most engr. (please pardon my upfront). I don't want to lose the system right now. I always have this fear once the system or motherboard is dissembled for diagnostic and assembled after completion, is either one component not working again or add to the initial problem. Sometimes, it could be backlight, sound system, one keypad not working etc. At the end, I mostly abandon the system and seek to get new one. This has been my experience with engr. and thus my fear.

Apart from webcam and wifi, everything is working perfectly.

When your laptop is fixed, you'll have to test it properly before leaving.
Since you're the one using it, you'll be the one to know if something else comes up after that you can use like 20-30mins to test it.

For the webcam, you'll still have to replace it too but first of all go to device manager and check if you will see IMAGING DEVICE among the list of drivers there.

Am not going to lie , hp are good but durability is the problem


I sell laptop, so am telling you from experience


A fairly use dell, the only thing you may be changing in the 2 to 3 years is the battery , if properly maintained


But for hp, hinges No1 issues, battery, poor thermal management, if you are using It in a not very cool place , board will spoilt

So choose wisely
