Today is the 4th of Muḥarram. Before we know it, the blessed days of Tāsu‘ā (9th of Muḥarram) and ‘Āshūrā’ (10th of Muḥarram) will be upon us, falling next Wednesday and Thursday, inshā’ Allah.

The days pass quickly. Opportunities come and go. Many who fasted ‘Āshūrā’ with us last year are no longer with us today. Will we witness another? Only Allah knows.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

«“Fasting the day of ‘Āshūrā’, I hope from Allah, expiates the sins of the previous year.”
(Muslim)»

SubḥānAllah! One day of fasting, and Allah forgives a year's worth of minor sins.

And when the Prophet ﷺ was informed that the Jews also fasted the 10th of Muḥarram, he said:

«“If I live until next year, I will certainly fast the ninth as well.”
(Muslim)»

This is why it is recommended to fast both the 9th and the 10th, to distinguish ourselves and follow the Sunnah more completely.

My dear brothers and sisters, these are not difficult acts of worship. They are just two days. We spend much longer pursuing the dunya, yet Allah offers us opportunities like this out of His mercy.

Perhaps this ‘Āshūrā’ will be our last.

Perhaps it will be the cause of Allah forgiving our sins.

Perhaps it will be the deed that weighs heavily on our scales on the Day of Judgment.

So let us prepare from now. Remind our families. Encourage our children. Inform our friends.

Don't let these blessed days pass by while we are distracted.

May Allah spare our lives to witness Tāsu‘ā and ‘Āshūrā’, accept our fasting, forgive our sins, and make us among His righteous servants.

If you are following any of the two religion, you should know for fact that:

Infact, Illah is what the Arabic call God and not Allah. Allah was one of the diety been worshiped before the invention of Islam. Have you ask yourself why Prophet Mohammed's father who was an idol worshiper and who lived before the invention of islam has Allah in is name Abdullai== Abdu Allah? It is because Allah has been an idol worshiped by paganists before the Prophet received his revelations.

Nakedly circumambulations of the Kaaba, annual prigrimage to mecca, kissing of black stone, bowing towards the stone (stone worship) are all preislamic pagan practises by the nomadic Bedouin tribe and the same is what they still practice today.

All Abrahamic religion are idolatory, they only package them well and condemn your heritage as evil, whereas, Nigeria was better in terms of morality, honesty and integrity before they brought the foreign religions.

In peace loving, emotional intelligence, love for neighbors, respect for sanctity of life, we are even better than those who brought those religion with primitive leaders and prophets whose morality and characters are highly questionable.

Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "On the Day of Resurrection, Allah will deliver to every Muslim, a Jew or a Christian and say: 'This is your ransom from Hell-fire."'

Abu Burda reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:

There would come people amongst the Muslims on the Day of Resurrection with as heavy sins as a mountain, and Allah would forgive them and He would place in their stead the Jews and the Christians. (As far as I think), Abu Raub said: I do not know as to who is in doubt. Abu Burda said: I narrated it to 'Umar b. 'Abd al-'Aziz, whereupon he said: Was it your father who narrated it to you from Allah's Apostle (ﷺ)? I said: Yes.
