USA could become a huge threat in future World Cups if they start taking the sport more seriously as a nation. The US has looked impressive, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Their wins have come against Australia and Paraguay, not Brazil, Spain, Argentina or France. The talent pool looks okay, but athleticism alone doesn’t guarantee elite footballing nations.
