Tunisia qualifying to this world cup was an utter waste of CAF space, even Namibia would have performed better than this...if buying a spot was legal walahi Naija should have put in a bid for their spot.

Truly Tunisia is the weakest team among Africa representative. Waste of slot.Burkina Faso , Mali ,Nigeria or Cameroon would have done better . But this is football. This same Tunisia team didn't concede any goal during the qualifiers.

This Tunisian team has no talent; I understand that, but the attitude of these players is really irritating as hell. I have seen teams in this tournament with limited talent, but they at least have a fight in them. Haiti, for example, yesterday left everything they had on the pitch; they were simply no match for the Brazilians due to the gulf in quality.

Every single Curacao player ran himself to the ground against Ecuador, and their reward was a point, which at least still kept them in the competition. People around me watching the nonchalant attitude of these Tunisian players are all saying, "Are they even aware they will be eliminated losing this game?"

Japan is a good team, but Tunisia is simply not even trying to put up a fight and make this game at least uncomfortable for them. Japan is simply at ease, and this game is like the first preseason game for them.

I am beginning to really hate the Tunisia national team. These fools always come to the World Cup gift-out points and exit in the first round. I am perplexed by their ability to consistently navigate the qualifiers, only to falter on the world stage. Countries such as Mali, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Gambia, Gabon, Angola, and Zambia must take action to halt Tunisia's World Cup qualifications. I am so sick of seeing this useless team every time in the World Cup just fucking coming there to mark attendance.

I don't think the problem is necessarily talent
They have up to 7 or more players playing in Europe. Some in countries like turkey, france etc. also the Tunisian league is at least one of the best in africa and they have players from there. They even have that Hannibal former Manchester United prodigy in their team.
So at least they should get better results than this.
Some African teams with similar level of players get results. Ok togo was at least competitive when they qualified for the world cup.
Of course, Malik will do better. It's an attitude problem
How many good players does australia has and they seem to be decent.

Why do they always do this?

Again. The Super Eagles messed up by not qualifying

I mean did you see their group? I can't wrap my head around how they keep getting the luck of the draw when they've consistently been abysmal at every world cup they go to.

They played Namibia, Liberia and co . It was just easy ride to the world cup . Now they conceded 9 goals in two matches . Not against France or Germany or Argentina bit against Japan and Sweden .this is an eyesore . Indeed waste of slots

I hope we all saw the Japanese disallowed goal. Just a wee fraction of the ball was on the line yet the goal was not given.

This is for those saying that the cancelled goal in our match against Portugal ought to stand.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by PDPGuy: 7:43am On Jun 21
Japan faced just one shot in the first half, their fewest shots allowed in the first half of any World Cup match. Their old record was two - which also came against Tunisia, in 2002.

None of the five teams who have sacked a manager at a World Cup have then won their subsequent game under the new coach - a run continued by Herve Renard and Tunisia here.

On my way to Tunis to welcome Tunisia home.

Nine still standing. I'll be there.

Japanese are short but they always score headers. Na wa

They are my team of this tournament.

Used to support France, England and Netherlands but those ones have become African teams. Defeats the essence of international football.

This Japanese team will roundly humble the SE
Highly efficient, never tired and dedicated
What a team!
Their 100years plan of making football their priority sport is gradually paying off

I saw it in fact it’s even more than the one against Poland. All of the ball must cross the line, not a major part of it that’s the rule with the goal line technology

With all due respect, none of them is like Mikel in any way sir.
Mikel is not as creative as Iwobi.
Iwobi excels more in overall passing range (long balls, chip passes, and crosses of the ball)

Iwobi's tendencies to also roam the wings makes him even more active in build ups and feeding the forwards.
