If the money is truly for your studies as stated, I will suggest you do either of the following; 1. Pay full tuition fee 2. Pay tuition fee for the first semester and use the balance to open a GIC of at least CAD 10, 000 towards your living expenses Then your in-law can write a letter of financial support starting that he is your sponsor (if you’re using only him), and to demonstrate his commitment, the funds were sent to you and they have been applied towards paying full/part of your tuition fess and/or living expenses. I know that 22m will not be able to cover your tuition fee and living expenses for the first year. So who is going to provide the balance? Gift deed and sales of property have been over used in explaining lump sums, I always avoid them as much as possible. Geetee111: |

lanresz:The targeted program starts in Winter and Fall. Thanks a lot for your feedback. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by olasubomy: 6:57am On Jun 21 |
Cullinane:Another approach is to ask your program adviser—the person who keeps you guys informed about course updates and everything related to your studies—to connect you with any outgoing student who has completed the same program. Having a rapport with someone who has already gone through your course can be incredibly useful. They can offer valuable insights on course choices and selection and potential opportunities for teaching assistantships (TA), as well as recommend professors you might consider reaching out to with a cold email. Additionally, connecting with outgoing students can provide a clearer picture of which term would be best to start your program. If you are considering commencing in the winter term, the weather might take you off balance at first, if you are not used to it but you will adapt in no time. |

AbelAbdul:Try to book emirate airline from their site. I believe they are the cheapest currently. One way is around $1,200 for August season unless you have US visa, then you can get a slightly cheaper flight that you will connect with in a US city |

I plan to submit my visa application this coming weekend for the September intake. Will it be late? I need to sort out some dpcuments |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by amnotapervert(m): 1:46am On Jun 22 |
ColdHunter:Yes, you should be fine, but don't waste time. Make sure it doesn't take longer than the timeframe you just mentioned The current processing time is about 6 weeks, so you should be okay if you submit your application this coming weekend some people have mentioned it took longer for them some people shorter hopefully your shorter but you should be ok https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-processing-times.html

Cullinane:Anyone is fine, but if you were my brother or a close friend, I would advise you to resume in September, mainly because of the weather. IMO you need time to get your body to that winter weather coming in Septerber will do that if you have specific reasons for wanting to move in January, explain them and we can see whether it still makes sense in your situation...Maybe you need more time to save up for school or something like that.... It is much better to arrive in Manitoba in September when daytime temperatures average 15°C to 19°C and nighttime temperatures drop to a cool 4°C to 8°C, than to arrive in January when average daytime highs range from -11°C to -14°C and overnight temperatures can fall to -21°C to -24°C. Coming from Nigeria to Manitoba in those January temperatures can be a very difficult adjustment, and you may end up regretting arriving in the middle of winter. |

amnotapervert:I initially wanted to start at Fall (Sept) 2027 simply because I wanted to clock work anniversary at my place of work next March but I am not keen anymore on waiting for a whole year plus. So I want to bring it forward to Winter (Jan) 2027. I am fully self-funded. I intend to pay the full 2 year tuition upfront and do a GIC for the max possible sum and present both as part of my visa application docs including other savings in USD. So it is not a funding issue per say. |

I am going for a graduate certificate program at Fanshawe college and I have already submitted my study permit application but I didn't upload my Transcript, should I create a web form, attach the Transcript and submit. How important is the transcript to my application? I only submitted my University Certificate. |

I stay in Delta State and I would like to schedule my biometrics appointment with IRCC. I also want to inquire about booking an upfront medical so I can complete both around the same time. How do I book the upfront medical to be aroiund the same time as my biometrics? |

amnotapervert:Over 18 years across various multinationals (Swedish, American and Chinese). Current role due to be 4 years by March 2027. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by amnotapervert(m): 3:13pm On Jun 22 |
Cullinane:Nice. I asked because I wanted to see whether you have at least three years of work experience and if waiting will make any difference When in Canada when the time comes, that foreign work experience can earn you up to 50 CRS points, so when the time comes, you will be able to claim those points Whichever you choose September or January is entirely up to you. But if it were left to me, I would choose the September intake. |

Someone asked a question. I told him to use AI and get his answers. He tagged me 'immature' then called the mods to ban me. Someone else uses AI to answer his questions and he praised the person for using AI to answer his questions. LMAO

AbelAbdul:There’s really nothing wrong with using AI tools, like Copilot, to check grammar and tenses—I have found them quite helpful myself. The advice I gave to the moniker was something that genuinely helped me during my school days, and the kind of information anyone who has gone through school in Canada can relate to. You don’t need AI to tell you that! Anyway, it’s a Monday morning and I assume you have got plenty of time on your hands. |

Once you see one big client to scam on this thread amnotapervert:we all know you'll zoom off from this site the way other's do on this thread |

olasubomy:It's not bad using AI. Everyone does it. It was just funny how the moniker reacted when I mentioned AI. |

Amovingman:You have been coming at me for over a week now, and I genuinely don’t understand why. An account created yesterday is repeatedly targeting me while I have been here for 10 years...No one has called me all the names you called me just your gang of friends I don’t want to turn this thread into a back-and-forth because it distracts from the purpose of the forum and could look like spamming but I believe you want that so I can get Ban I think that's your goal. So I am asking directly and calmly: what exactly is your issue with me? Did I say or do something to you personally or someone you know? You mentioned exposing me a week ago, but nothing has come of it. I am just trying to understand what this is really about.. |

Add a small amount of money to it and push it to GIC in Canada. Show evidence of the wire transfer to your GIC account. Geetee111: |

Y'all keep attacking this guy being an agent and a scammer and yet you can't provide JUST ONE EVIDENCE. I remember a post where @justwise said you all should ush it if you can't provide an evidence. Just look at this page we are currently, he has been providing answers to people's questions and all. Yes we have heard, he is a scammer, can we just move on since it is always these baseless and thread derailing accusations. It is just so annoying that you guys keep going and whining like broken records........ Amovingman: |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by ColdHunter(f): 8:57am On Jun 23 |
Amovingman:You need to leave this guy alone. It's genuinely unfair how you lots keep tarnishing him. If you have evidence of him scamming anyone, kindly publish it. If not, you need to rest. |

Good morning all, I am paying my tuition today using Flywire against the September intake. I also intend to apply for my visa on firday. My worry is if I can use the flywire reciept as proof of tuition payment and if IRCC accepts it as valid proof. This is becasue my school said it may take as much as 7 working days to confirm payment and issue a school reviept and I can't afford to wait. |
