😂 try and be nice na. We can challenge Norway though halaand like Messi is a mad man
This shape of Norway is like the Croatia we met at 2018….Africa lack this general dominating presence when they meet a European team with one or 2 star players
Its we win or we draw…Our heroics and domineering aura ended after 1994 and 1998 world cups…
2002
Argentina
England
Sweden
Nigeria(we jah)

2010
Argentina
Greece
Korea
Nigeria(we jah)

2014
Argentina
Nigeria(scraping through a 1-0 win over Bosnia)
Bosnia
Iran

Argentina
croatia
Nigeria(we jah)
Iceland

The only group Nigeria would have qualified from to the round 32 in this world cup are
Group A,C,E,G,J all as second best or miraculously as 3rd best teams

Omo a stern test await Messi in round 32
Argentina vs runner up groupH, More likely gonna be
Argentina vs Spain or Argentina vs Uruguay.

Uruguay vs Spain last match will be all about fighting to top the group and avoid Argentina 🤣🤣 and then if Capeverde wins Saudi Arabia they will go second and Face Argentina 😀😀

Please stop amplifying stories culled from Facebook. They are almost always fake. Ashleigh doesn't even have a Facebook account, same applies to most super falcons player.

Also it makes sense to see if there are second sources to a story before amplifying it lest you be a courier for falsehood. A simple acid test would be:

Is the story posted on the other social media account of the player?

Is there any reputable news organization reporting said story?

Does this account profile reflect the decorum expected of a professional?

These questions will help in no little way in quickly spotting falsehood.

na that Argentina dey give us headache pass grin You think if we meet all these Curacao, Ecuador, and Panama, we no beat them silly?, We've been unlucky to be in very tough groups in the World Cup, even 94 and 98, those groups were tough with the likes of Bulgaria and Spain. Croatia sef na our papa make we talk true. The 2002 group was tagged the group of death, make no lie, we had no chance there. Sweden, with the likes of Larson were a world-class team, not to mention England with the likes of Beckam. 2010 is where we should have pulled our weight better, but with the likes of Yakubu, how we wan progress. grin

Make una free Senegal🤣🤣
Put Nigeria in this France/Norway group…na the same thing we sef go play…while Chelle will b winning from the sideline, fear fear go dey hold our boys to lose the matches.
Only Osimhen,Bassey and Maybe Frederick will be putting up that agbero performance to try and get something from the game

See as mumu Portugal team played us…see as otele Poland and Jordan denied us a win…By the time dem pocket Iwobi in high intense games like these ones, himself and Osimhen go turn defender
Your observations are valid. But why is this so? We can attribute it to the lack of naija we die here spirit but what of Bassey?

Nice analysis from joe hart. Faster balls from distance?? Hmm.
On a completely unrelated note, i hope caf does not adopt this fifa world cup ball for the time being while okoye is still in our post.

I will come back to your post just before the final
So anyone who doesn’t see them as a superior team in this tourney is a hater ?
Smh
The way the guy has been dishing this Messi hater is becoming very annoying.

I'm glad TSN cleverly ignored him with the multiple times he tried reeling him yesterday.

Please do ignore him because doing so will make him not to litter here with more of the word.

Senegal - the most disappointing team at WC 2026

One would've thought that at least, they'll make it to the round of 16

But the coach was too sentimental with his selections

Kalidpu was too old and heavy. Mbaye Niang shouldv3 been starting. Mane was very rusty

A disappointing end to a promising side

African players dominate European leagues from France to Czech, from England to Hungary playing with and against the best in the world and they still suffer from inferiority?

In a certain sense you are right. If not how can we explain some of these loses.

Na wa.
Bro, na fear mixed with inferiority

Fear - you see a team with star-studded players and you already loose battle in your mind before the game starts
Inferiority because by historical accounts, African teams haven't really done well compared to European teams and you feeling not your right to progress

Darkelf does have a point even though his abrasive tone tends to overshadow it.

His point that Cape Verde players play with courage is valid. Our players often chicken out.

We didn't lose against DR Congo on footballing terms. We lost because our players were intimidated by the size and sheer physicality of the Congolese.

I was reminded of that seeing the WC training pics of the Congolese today.
Thanks for making my point in a "less abrasive" manner

They are in a very tough group than imagined as France and Norway are not in this competition to make up the numbers. If they were in a easier group I believe they would have scaled through

The opposition you meet in at the group stage matters a lot.

Sénégal lost again smh
They have to beat Iraq to qualify
Poor outing from the Afcon champions
Senegal have been underwhelming

Their defense is even more terrible than their attacking threat. If we dash them Calvin Bassey and Benjamin Frederick, it will be hard to get to Mendy. Mendy has been too exposed by his defenders. Smh.

Cape Verde and CiV seem to be the only 2 holding the torch now. I don't even expect much from Morocco.

5 times we were drawn vs Argentina

5 times we got L. The last L was annoying. Ahmed Musa sha tried. His teammates were underwhelming that day. If they had the ginger he brought, that game should have at least ended in a draw.

Yeah you are right.
Morocco in particular. First African team to reach the second round of world cup. 1986. Bouderbala abdilazeez and others
What morocco is doing is not new in a sense.
Morocco knows how to compete globally even though they are just a bit above average in africa.
