Obi’s call for President Tinubu’s resignation childish and an unwarranted distraction Peter Obi’s latest comments calling for President Bola Tinubu’s resignation, based on a comparison with the British prime minister's voluntary exit, are not only misplaced but also reflect a selective and distorted view of Nigeria’s realities since 2023.source

Tinubu should even be the one telling himself to resign. The old hag has brought nothing but pain, anguish and suffering to Nigerians. How much is dollar? How much is fuel? How much is gas? How much is garri? How much is rice? How much is egg? How many children and women are in captivity? Nigeria has seen very many bad governments, But this one tops them all. Tufiakwa!!! |

Stop giving Peter the attention he craves! You don’t respond to people like that! Why His Excellency, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) never gives him that attention. |

I feel Tinubu is not doing enough, but what exactly is Obi saying...what does he think will happen if Tinubu resigns? So that Shetima will now become the President? How will that make things better? Or does Obi feel that his chances of becoming a president will be higher if Tinubu resigns? |

No no it is not Mr Onuanuka the official tribal bigot of the regime. Resigning is not about who and who will take over but to set a good precedence for future Nigerian leaders starting from the President. It's all about setting good record that any Nigerian leader that fails to perform or deliver his or her campaign promises should follow the exit door honorably. It will mark a new beginning for Nigeria and it's leadership but you guys are just seeing it from the ethnic and tribal angle as usual of you guys which is completely wrong. Of course if Tinubu reigns, it's not Peter Obi or any Igbo man that will take over but it doesn't matter, what matters is setting a good precedence that Nigerian leaders must perform according to their campaign promises and for the collective good of all Nigerians or he should resign honorably and you will see it become a norm in Nigeria and a new era of bliss for all Nigerians. Something must happen to set Nigeria free from failed, corrupt leadership and someone must take the bold step to initiate that and if I am Tinubu I will take the lead and be remembered for such boldness and sincerity of purpose. Peter Obi that I know personally will resign from office if he was the President and fails to deliver on his campaign promises leading to deterioration of Nigeria's economy and security situations. Obi will honorably resign with an apology to Nigerians. That is what great leaders with integrity do, not foisting themselves on the people using state mercenaries and institutions entrusted in him to make the nation better. Nigeria is in a terrible state, and Tinubu is the President. Yet every day, we wake up to see critics, politicians, demonic propagandists, and false prophets directing their attacks at Peter Obi; a man who last held public office in 2014. They never care to hold accountable, those responsible for the country’s condition. So, Bola Tinubu was mature when asking Goodluck Jonathan to resign as President in 2014.... even when the insecurity situation wasn't a quarter of what Nigeria is currently facing now, abi?

People keep shouting, if it was America, the American president would have resigned cos of the insecurity in the land. They don't know that out of the 250 years America has existed, only one president has ever resigned...even when the country suffered great depression in the 1930s for almost 10 years, the presidents never resigned. The only reason Nixon resigned was because his impeachment was 100% guaranteed. |

I remember how well meaning Nigerians called for Buhari to resign when he was running the country aground; Femi Adesina and APC political Hallelujah boys were doing exactly what Bayo Onanuga is doing now. They were busy calling well meaning Nigerians names, referring to them as wailers and said "Sai Baba for life". Today, most of those APC Hallelujah boys agree Buhari did actually took the nations years back as far as economy, security and overall governance is concerned. Now instead of these same people listening to voice of reasoning, they are once again calling people who genuinely care names . |

Distraction from what? The Oyo kidnaps, or General Rabe's death in captivity? When your Oga was doing the same thing to Jonathan for issues far less than what Nigeria is currently going through, you were applauding. now that the other shoe has dropped, you're complaining. You criticized Jona on subsidy removal, only to do it in an even worse manner. Thunder fire you, sir. |
