ColdHunter:When I applied, I used flywire to pay my acceptance deposit. I used CIBC to pa my tuition. I could not wait for the school to issue me a receipt since it involves extra charges. What I did; I included the confirmation email from flywire and CIBC and used them instead. I will advise you do up front medical because it the result takes within 10 business days to be sent to IRCC. Where is that boy that said that IRCC does not accept bank statement of acct from remote gigs like PayPal and co, that it must be only commercial bank acct statements? Pls tell him that info is false. I submitted PayPal statement even submitted Opay bank statement and got my study permit approved. |

AbelAbdul:Please how does CIBC work? If the CIBC is also not instant, then it's not necessarily better than Flywire as you said it's the email you used and not that the school confirmed payment instantly |

ColdHunter:CIBC is a bank just like UBA, GTB and First Bank. The full meaning of CIBC is Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. When I wanted to pay my fees, I contacted my school to ask them how to go about it. The school gave me various means of paying my tuition fee including CIBC. I chose CIBC because it has physical presence, also it has different ways you can pay your fees. Either through your CARD or wire transfer and their charge was low simply because I was paying to my school. I guess my school and the bank partnered. After making payments, CIBC said it was going to take them 3 business day for the money to reflect in my student acct. The money reflected in my student acct in less that 72hrs. My school said I could request for a receipt of payment that it will cost me $15 and 2 business days to get the receipt. So I used confirmation email from CIBC and a screenshot of my student acct to apply for study permit. I did not bother getting receipt from my school. |

Greetings guys Please am confuse right now about my pof This is for south Korean student visa Pardon me for bringing it here Am so mad at myself now, I've a small business which I opened a business account with my business name and build the account to be used as pof for 5months now( my guy over there provided me with the funds) The issue now is that am been told that embassy will also require my personal account also and I didn't build that one at all, infact it doesn't have any kobo there Only my salary(Government worker) comes there which is less than 200k n I withdraw it always Note: this is for student visa and I used my business account for admission, first school accepted it n second school raise the issue(that's how I knew I made a mistake of not building my personal account too) But we all know school n embassy are different thing,am to go to embassy next month Do I have a chance or I should start all over again to build both properly |

ColdHunter:Don't worry or overthink the situation. If you have made the payment with any method you go with and are sure it was successful, simply provide evidence of the payment to IRCC. IRCC can always contact the school to verify that the payment was received If need be.. and you can always update your application via webform if need be at anytime Therefore, you can make the payment and then proceed to submit your visa application as you plan. |

Good day everyone, I would appreciate some guidance regarding my Canadian study permit POF. I recently received admission into a 2-year MSc program and have already paid the required CAD $2k tuition deposit to secure my admission. Here is my financial situation: - Total academic expenses each year is CAD $27,000 per year. - university offered me funding totaling CAD $22,000 per year (44k for both years) - my co-supervisor has approved a one-time funding grant of CAD $10,000 and I am currently requesting an official letter for this funding. - Based on the above, my tuition and academic expenses for the entire program are covered by the confirmed funding. (Recieving: 54k. 2years tuition= 54k) For living expenses, I am self-funding. Over the past few years, I have built a dedicated savings account containing approximately 20m (20k CAD). The account has a consistent savings history and very few withdrawals because it was specifically maintained for my study plans. My day-to-day expenses are paid from a separate salary account and parent because they want me to save aggressively. My concern is this: Since my tuition is already covered do I still need to demonstrate proof of living expenses for the entire 2-year duration of the program (roughly CAD $45k), especially considering that I will no longer be earning my current salary after relocating? Or would it be reasonable to apply with my available savings of about 20m (20k cad), together with the university funding and supporting documents? I would appreciate insights from anyone who has been in a similar situation or has experience with Canadian study permit applications. I'm I safe? What are my chances? What do I do to convince the VO better in the his situation It's getting late I must submit next week because my program starts Fall 2026. Thank you. |

amnotapervert:When I applied in May, I saw where IRCC stated that all documents must be submitted during the application. That documents sent as a webform when they were not required shall be ignored. |

AbelAbdul:Provide evidence!! |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by amnotapervert(m): 7:37pm On Jun 23 |
AbelAbdul:Yes, that’s true, but you need to understand the context in which that statement was made. IRCC is referring to situations where applicants submit incorrect or incomplete documents and later try to replace or update them. IRCC generally discourages repeatedly sending unsolicited updates in those cases. In this situation, we are talking about another proof of payment for school fees. Once the payment is made, any official confirmation of payment is acceptable. I am also quite very sure IRCC will contact the school directly to verify whether the payment was actually made... So in her case, she made the payment, submitted all available documents, and applied for Visa using the Flywire official payment receipt. If she later receives an official receipt from her school a few days after applying for the visa she can still upload it via webform, that should not be a problem.... context matters |

AlwaysHopeful:Any Canadian University that will offer you such funding (amazing for Msc ..almost 80%) will not ask for $2k tuition deposit because you are already a scholar. Lets forget about that anyway. If your narrative is true you should apply with your current savings together with your funding offer letter. Visa officers always have soft landings on scholars because you will eventually become a human tool (professor, lecturer , researcher etc) in Canada.. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by amnotapervert(m): 8:30pm On Jun 23 |
AlwaysHopeful:You are in a Very Very good space do not overthink it I understand you do not want to make any mistake If the funding letters are official and clearly state the amounts, and your CAD $20,000 savings are well documented, I would not be overly concerned about proving the full CAD $45,000 of living expenses for both years upfront. Your focus should be on demonstrating that (1) The program is genuinely funded.... which you will need to get that official letter from the department signed by the school and supervisor (2) You have enough money available to say that's the one time $10,000 CAD funding official letter and the 20 million naira you have saved up support yourself. Your financial story is logical and consistent The supervisor's funding letter is valuable because it further demonstrates ongoing institutional support and reduces concerns about your financial capacity during your studies. + your 20 million naira |

I'm having a really hard time registering for courses in University of Regina portal. Does anyone have experience with this? |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by ColdHunter(f): 7:14am On Jun 24 |
My yearly tuition for University of Regina is 16k. However, exact tuition to pay per year is dependent on tge courses I enrol for. Now there's been quite some back and forth on the course enrolment as some subjects need clearance from the owner department. I want to ask if I can just pay a lumpsum deposit of same 16k into my student account, even though there are chances my eventual tuition for 1st year may be lower. And if I can use same reciept as proof of tuition. This is cos I want to expedite action on my visa application |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by AbelAbdul: 8:15am On Jun 24 |
ColdHunter:You are in my shoes. My estimated yearly tuition is around $30k CAD. My tuition is not a flat rate. It would be determined by the number of courses I register. I have core courses I must register and elective courses I would register. After registration, it may not amount to the $30k CAD. I have paid the $30k CAD to my student acct. If after course registration I have money left, I could either apply for refund (which the school allows) or leave it there for next year tuition. Concerning course registration, my school offered a webinar on that before we started to register and there is an email to contact should you have difficulty in registering your courses. My advice: Reach out to your school and explain your difficulty to them. PS: Are you the person that applied to Regina since Nov last here and they didn't make decision on your admission? If you are, Congrats! Finally you made it. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by AbelAbdul: 8:23am On Jun 24 |
ColdHunter:Pay the $16k and use the receipt and apply for study permit. NO TIME AGAIN. If after your course registration, you have money remaining in your student acct, that money is still yours. I paid mine and included a screenshot of my student acct in my study permit application. PS: Any bank transaction you make towards your school, include the receipt in your visa application. Mine I included the admission application fee I paid. that was around $120 CAD. Don't wait for school to give you receipt. You can use the transaction alert. |
