I’ll take this result than that of Senegal I’ve always believed more in results in tournament than performance. Ghana is in a tough group it’s difficult to beat both England and Croatia who are technically better than them so they chose the safest option kati kati formation and it has yielded the desired result and that’s what matters at the end. If they have lost this game their quest to the next round will be harder.
History will not remember if they play beautiful or Haram football what will be remembered is Ghana drew England and proud of them for this result.

TheSuperNerd:
He has no point please. You keep going back to just one game... The DRC game... as convenient excuse to justify a point that no longer holds.

The same Super Eagles showed heart after that DRC episode at the Afcon tournament. We all saw how far that team went and how Morocco needed big time refereeing favors to navigate that semifinal fixture on their home turf.

The same DRC with their physical size were undone by Algeria. Same Algeria who bested DRC were humbled and dismantled from Minute 1 to Minute 90+ by the Super Eagles in the next KO fixture.

So let us stop the convenient exaggerations. The Super Eagles under Chelle has come a long way now and metamorphosed, so far, into a fearless unit and the metamorphosis is not even finished.
I insist that he has a point. At least I see it. You wrong. It's not one game. At the 2023 Afcon in Ivory coast, our players felt intimidated in the final. We could literally see it in their eyes.

In the Congo game, Chelle was so befuddled by folding of our players to the extent that he attributed it to juju.

The same folding played out in the match against Morocco. Jitters. Morocco diIt wasn't just tactics.

Apart from darkelf, others on this forum have pointed out this disturbing trend of cravenness in our team.

There's no doubt that our game has vastly improved under Chelle but this aspect has to be worked upon.

The same thing did not play out vs Morocco. Be honest abeg. Morocco were clearly helped by the atrocious officiating by Daniel Ayii Laryea in that semi final.

And why going back to 2024 for the 2023 Afcon which is even further back from the DRC game when the 2025 Afcon clearly debunks all these? Abeg, that point no longer stands true judging the last major showings of the lads.

He has no point and you are the wrong one coz you are referencing events we have clearly moved and grown from. Afcon 2025 was more recent than the DRC game and Afcon 2023 final (which is even a poor reference to make). Even vs Morocco the boys stood strong and fought despite the 100% biased officiating which you are stylishly refusing to acknowledge.

Bro, na fear mixed with inferiority

Fear - you see a team with star-studded players and you already loose battle in your mind before the game starts
Inferiority because by historical accounts, African teams haven't really done well compared to European teams and you feeling not your right to progress
It's terrible. At the same time they are almost playing against other African teams masquerading as European teams na. See France, Germany and England for example. So why the fear and inferiority?
