TheSuperNerd:You self rest it,as you can see I have ended it,but just wanted you to know that u were wrong in calling everyone who believes Messi is best "delusional" and that's true. And you were mistaken to think I seek futile talk, you can believe what you like but you didn't know my intentions. The truth is that, that "truest goat" question were supposed to carry a laughing emoji, not to trigger a debate about Messi vs R7,but I forgot. As you must have noticed I'm not a die hard fanatic blinded by one sided devotion, who had wished R7 to join the goal party and tipped Mbappe to outscore Messi. |

Going by how the Messi fanboys have disturbed this thread since the WC began and even attacked me for simply updating the thread as a neutral, I think I am within my rights to call them delusional. And you still have not wished Messi happy Birthday. Now rest this matter and do so. Napoleon55: |

I must admit that I really underestimated this Ghana team. Football is really a strange sport. Ghana, a couple of months ago, looked like they were going to be the weeping boys in this World Cup. Just like Nigeria in the 2023 Afcon, where expectations were very low, which kind of took all the pressure off them and allowed them to play with house money that took them all the way to the finals, I believe this Ghanaian team can actually shock a lot of people because the expectation for this team in Ghana before the world were low; in fact, some of my Ghanaian friends before the World Cup were simply praying for Ghana not to be embarrassed, and now they are actually beginning to believe in this team. Carlos Queiroz has done a tremendous job really organizing this team and making them difficult to beat. I'm not saying Ghana will get to the semi finals or finals, but this Ghana team, with a little bit of luck, can actually go further in this competition than a lot of the more fancied African sides like Morocco and Ivory Coast. Make no mistake about it; they completely nullified that England team yesterday. They are not as talented as Ivory Coast, Senegal, Algeria, or Morocco, but they are actually the most organized and drilled African team I have seen so far. Unlike other African teams that are vulnerable on set pieces and cornerkicks, the Ghanaian team completely dominated and nullified England set pieces and cornerkicks yesterday. This aspect of the game are actually England's greatest strength, and for Ghana to have dominated them in that aspect of the game yesterday tells a lot about the grit in that team. Yes, they are offensively limited, which might come back to bite them, but their defense will always keep them in the game, and with a player like Antoine Semenyo, who can pull off individual brilliance on any given day, this team can actually shock the world and make a deep run into the quarterfinals. |

TheSuperNerd:I must accept some of them are delusional, but you have to agree that not all are delusional. Do the honor. If I'm to wish Messi happy birthday on this post, I beg u not to be angry, I still want to insert "GOAT" on it Happy birthday Lionel Messi, the greatest of all time. I wish you your second world cup trophy as you birthday gift |

It is the best path for him now even though he has openly wanted Nigeria. Na him do himself by featuring for Togo as an academy player in their CHAN qualifiers back in 2017 ahead of the 2018 CHAN so he should just follow the Togo path. Togo have some decent talents in their ranks such as Kevin Denkey now in the MLS and Kevin Boma of RB Salzburg. Together with Orban, they could cook. charlesemeka85: |

Well, if you are indeed a Messi fanboy, then I admit you are not in that delusional class as your responses have been dignified. And pls feel free... you wont be a Messi Fanboy if you dont include GOAT next to his name I expect the same of CR7 fanboys. All I ask is not to get attacked or my post digressed into something else just because I dont agree with either or because I seem to be talking about one instead of another. I speak based on current events. E.g. Messi scores a hattrick... I comment and speak on its significance. CR7 scores a brace, I comment and do same. I acknowledge both players as GOATs... same as Maradona, but overall for me, it will always and always be Pele as the GOAT of GOATs. Napoleon55: |

When you tell someone of these foreign burns to represent Nigeria, it seems as if you're prevent8ng them from reaching thwir full potential Look at Tomori who's a regular for AC Milan missing out on the world cup while a Dan Burn of Newcastle is "good enough" to be on the bench I reiterate that had Look.an and Bassey chosen other countries, I doubt they'll get the same level of prowess or respect they have now from.Naija fans from the fans of those other countries Tomori's case is especially painful.because I would pair him with bassey instead of Semi Ajayi and he adds more depth and experience to our team Now, I doubt he ever features for the 3 lions again. Same with tammy Abraham, except I don't believe he is much better than our second-rayed attackers we currently have (I'm talking about those on the bench) It's a pity Cc kog45, mujtahida |

Not Nigerian but remember, Amara Diouf from the 2023 U17 Afcon. He just turned 18 and has now signed for Fenerbahce of Turkey. Exciting days ahead for the Next Sadio Mane as he is called.

TheSuperNerd:I'm not in not in any class of fanboyism, Na national team I dey. I may support Barcelona to win against any club, and natural will love Messi for his gifts and examplarity, but my GOAT's status to him is purely based on what I have witnessed compared to others. And always try to distinguish between those who want to attack you illogicaly and those who are not ,that is also a sign of maturity. |

Your initial approach did not help your case. And the fact you are still on this contradicts your stance. Jumping on my post and forcing a messi GOAT conversation and even putting Pele below gave you away initally. I only play lenient afterwards because you say you are not one of them so cease pushing your luck with the maturity jibe because anyone who read your initial response will pin you as a Messi fanboy and cannot be blamed. Again, let it rest... you have talked too much already and the more you keep at it, the more you contradict your "I am not a fanboy" stance. Lastly, I have been long enough on this thread to know subtle and obvious attacks. So thank you. Napoleon55: |

Napoleon55:Exactly. And if they get too reckless and concede too many goals, their qualification standings might be in trouble. If they're wise, they should stick to their haram ball and perfect it. |

The players screening/selection strategy looks decent from Coach Eboboritse's words. After the China trip with a predominantly U15 team from last year, the best performers there will be called into camp alongside the best from subsequent screenings and selections ahead of the WafuB U17 Afcon Qualifiers. Wishing them well. TheSuperNerd: |

I have liked his profile from day 1 since I mentioned him (2022 period I think) while he was in Norway's 2nd division but the sad reality is that it is a tough situation to sort out. The Togolese no wan gree so we have to let it go. If there is way, fine... but from what I have been told today, it is stuck for now. elyte89: |

TheSuperNerd:Sometimes you can be funny, me pushing my luck, jumping on your post. In fact you can believe what u want, that I wanted to force a needless conversation, even as I has even almost tried to apologize, that u misunderstood me. if u can't accept that you can be wrong just because you have been angered, fine, but u are not the only one who gets angry. I don't really need your approval for anything here, I only wanted to set things straight, if u accept it,fine,if u don't fine. You have my respect for what u are doing here, but don't think you can just brazenly refered to me as delusional and an immature and expect me to sing along with you,it's unacceptable. Some of us always try to explore every avenue for peace, but if u insist u must speak to to me in whichever manner u like,go on,but bear in mind u are not the only one who knows how to speak in a manner that can make one angry. This discussion have been over harmless post and totally needless, but u are the one who must have the last say. |
