South Africa will face Canada in the round of 32.

Interesting match-up as both teams will be playing a WC knockout match for the first time.

BTW, this was only SA’s second WC clean sheet. The last time they had a clean sheet was in their 1-0 win over Slovenia at the 2002 WC

Oga mujtahida

There's no need foe the back and forth with that guy
He is a living proof that being a lot of people consider an unnecessary loud, overbearing ITK as being intelligent.
This thread is for everyone and conflicting views are welcome. What use is it if everyone agrees with each other all the time. Even in a military regime, it doesn't work like that

I am free to air my views as I deem fit. If you don't agree with it, scroll and move on. But when my views causes you to loose sleep and you spend three pages castigating anyone that sees sense in what I say, it makes me doubt your intelligence.

Everyone was here when I told people that just because we didn't make it doesn't mean that there aren't some European teams currently in this world cup that we can't beat and the same guy was acting excited like a child.
I can praise the super eagles today and castigated them tomorrow because I actually want what's best for them. I may come off as abrasive or too pessimistic but everyone expresses themselves in different ways and a sensible person should allow for that fact.

But NO, you meant to behave like Idi-Amin, censoring everyone and acting like you're the only one with a working brain. No matter what you think you've achieved educationally, you're not feeding anyone on this thread and everyone I REPEAT, EVERYONE,, has a right to an opinion

Bot only that, he'll start calling names and then cries bloos-gilled tears when the other pwrson reciprocates his energy.

He hasn't started crying oo. He should continue because I've not even aired my most abrasive of views.

Please sir mujtahida, just let the matter be. Some people can't be reasoned with.

If I see a team that will best the Super Eagles tomorrow, I'll say it with my full chest. Aftwrall, this same time played horrendous football in the qualifiers a d when it mattered the most, they'll always buckle under pressure.

How can I be pandering to someone on this thread like I'm a yes-man? I am nobody's sycophant here. And if you have them in multitudes on this forum, I'm not one of them

Oga, if he doesnt like my views, let him move on amd stop acting like a petulant child
We are all free to state our opinions. It is the diversity of views that makes this place interesting.

Qatar was in my opinion actually the best WC I've watched.

This one, with three hosts, kinda affects my enjoyment. It's just in my mind. I prefer single host. Concebtrates all the juice in one place. But I guess with this expanded number of teams, it's good bye to the era of single hosts

Lmao

I can’t bet on Canada sha. The only team beat turned out to be a contender for worst team of the tournament, and they only beat that team 6-0 because it was 11 v 9 for half the match.

SA will equally match Canada in athleticism too. I mention athleticism because that was the main edge Canada had over Bosnia-Herzegovina and Qatar

SA will beat Canada. I've watched all Canada's games, including the one against Switzerland last night. Those guys suck donkey nuts. Unless they fix up before the Round of 32, or SA misbehaving spirit resurfaces, Canada might be heading out.

I'm not surprised South Korea lost too. I've noticed they struggle with African teams.

We nearly beat them in 2010 (it ended 2-2 but if Yakubu had buried that stupendously obvious open net, it would have been 3-2).

Ghana beat them 3-2 in Qatar.

I didn't watch their game with SA, but they've lost that too. I enjoyed their game against Czechia and it looked like they kicked off to a good start but when I started doubting them was after they lost to Mexico and after I remembered their track record against African teams at the World Cup.

I think it's safe to say that AFC has been the worst performing confederation at the World Cup by a huge margin. Imagine Asian champions Qatar losing 6-0 to Canada.... Canada! Lol.

Very pleased with the grit and determination shown by CAF nations recently. As for Asia, there will be a lot of soul searching done by the AFC once group stage ends.

we probably should have seen it coming when a whole Qatar won the AFC cup twice in a row. I thank God I'm not a betting man. All my predictions for this world cup in this thread for African countries are going 9-1 with the 1 being Tunisia. For the r32 I'm not holding my breath for Canada. Where I have a little bit of confidence is r16 against the US. Their elimination can only be delayed not denied.

Edit: so they will play either of netherland or Morocco. Still better opponents than canada

Uncomfortable Facts….South Africa has an easy path to quarter finals than Morocco 🇲🇦

They can easily defeat Canada 🇨🇦 and possibly meet Morocco 🇲🇦 in r16 …in which they can also defeat Morocco 🇲🇦 too 😊😊.its going to be a long ride for hate watchers

For 2 consecutive World Cups, Qatar 🇶🇦 has been one of the worst teams I have ever seen in World Cup history.

Yet, they have won the past 2 Asian Cups… I am starting to question the integrity of that tournament.
How is it possible?!
