South Africa will face Canada in the round of 32. Interesting match-up as both teams will be playing a WC knockout match for the first time. BTW, this was only SA’s second WC clean sheet. The last time they had a clean sheet was in their 1-0 win over Slovenia at the 2002 WC |

TheSuperNerd:Oga, this World Cup is weird! Our hate-watch of South Africa, and to a lesser extent, Morocco, failed spectacularly 🤣😂 I just can’t imagine people, who staked bets on SA not advancing to the knockout rounds, are feeling right now😂 Person fit don lose 1 million for bet |

Amedino99:Qatar was in my opinion actually the best WC I've watched. This one, with three hosts, kinda affects my enjoyment. It's just in my mind. I prefer single host. Concebtrates all the juice in one place. But I guess with this expanded number of teams, it's good bye to the era of single hosts |

TheSuperNerd:Canada sef can go and mess up, I don’t trust those ones 😂 South Korea even has a better football pedigree than Canada, SA will truly fancy their chances now with full confidence. Those South Korea players should be flogged on their buttocks publicly |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by PDPGuy: 6:22am On Jun 25 |
TheSuperNerd:Lmao I can’t bet on Canada sha. The only team beat turned out to be a contender for worst team of the tournament, and they only beat that team 6-0 because it was 11 v 9 for half the match. SA will equally match Canada in athleticism too. I mention athleticism because that was the main edge Canada had over Bosnia-Herzegovina and Qatar |

PDPGuy:SA will beat Canada. I've watched all Canada's games, including the one against Switzerland last night. Those guys suck donkey nuts. Unless they fix up before the Round of 32, or SA misbehaving spirit resurfaces, Canada might be heading out. I'm not surprised South Korea lost too. I've noticed they struggle with African teams. We nearly beat them in 2010 (it ended 2-2 but if Yakubu had buried that stupendously obvious open net, it would have been 3-2). Ghana beat them 3-2 in Qatar. I didn't watch their game with SA, but they've lost that too. I enjoyed their game against Czechia and it looked like they kicked off to a good start but when I started doubting them was after they lost to Mexico and after I remembered their track record against African teams at the World Cup. I think it's safe to say that AFC has been the worst performing confederation at the World Cup by a huge margin. Imagine Asian champions Qatar losing 6-0 to Canada.... Canada! Lol. |

Very pleased with the grit and determination shown by CAF nations recently. As for Asia, there will be a lot of soul searching done by the AFC once group stage ends. |

Goke7:we probably should have seen it coming when a whole Qatar won the AFC cup twice in a row. I thank God I'm not a betting man. All my predictions for this world cup in this thread for African countries are going 9-1 with the 1 being Tunisia. For the r32 I'm not holding my breath for Canada. Where I have a little bit of confidence is r16 against the US. Their elimination can only be delayed not denied. Edit: so they will play either of netherland or Morocco. Still better opponents than canada |

Uncomfortable Facts….South Africa has an easy path to quarter finals than Morocco 🇲🇦 They can easily defeat Canada 🇨🇦 and possibly meet Morocco 🇲🇦 in r16 …in which they can also defeat Morocco 🇲🇦 too 😊😊.its going to be a long ride for hate watchers |

For 2 consecutive World Cups, Qatar 🇶🇦 has been one of the worst teams I have ever seen in World Cup history. Yet, they have won the past 2 Asian Cups… I am starting to question the integrity of that tournament. How is it possible?! |
