Pentagon Reinstates Mandatory Flu Shots Nearly 300 Recruits Fall Ill at Air Force Boot Camp

The Pentagon is bringing back mandatory flu vaccinations for all new military recruits after a flu outbreak at an Air Force boot camp in Texas sickened nearly 300 people.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth made the flu shot optional in April, citing medical autonomy and religious freedom. But on Wednesday, the Pentagon confirmed that all military boot camps will once again require the vaccine for recruits.

The change comes as a three-week outbreak at Lackland Air Force Base has led to 275 confirmed flu cases. Officials said the decision to restore the requirement was not related to the outbreak, explaining that exceptions allowing mandatory vaccinations had already been under review.

According to a source familiar with the situation, only about 40% of recruits at Lackland chose to get vaccinated after the shot became optional.

Military officials say close living quarters, limited sleep, and the intense nature of basic training make boot camps especially vulnerable to the spread of illness.

List any case went to evidentiary hearing. Judges would dismiss the filing for every reason they could find,
eg one application was filled with a Staedler 8H pencil instead of a HB.

Since you dont know the number, let me inform you. Trump and his allies filed more than 60 law suits concerning the election. They were dismissed due to a lack of evidence / legal standing. Many of the judges who dismissed them were Trump appointed judges.
