NOTHING phones are niche and that's coming from a Pixel user. Unless you like trying extremely niche products, I wouldn't recommend NOTHING phones.
They're crazily expensive in Nigeria plus they mostly make midrange phones.

The last iPhone I used was 11pro max. Was unimpressed, had to switch back to a Pixel. With the way things are right now, I'm seriously considering switching back.

Why are you considering switching back to iOS? Any negative experience using the Pixel?

It's why I have a secondary phone as an android.
I'm just looking to upgrade it. I have been using it since 2021

I am thinking of upgrading my device, I am contemplating between a locked 17pm(I am 98% connected to WiFi) and the pixel 10 pro xl.

The reviews I have been reading about the battery life and heating of the 10pXl isn't encouraging. My goal is to take pictures occasionally, record videos and do tons of calls and streaming. Do you guys think it's a realistic idea to go with 10pXL?

For your use case, I’d be careful with the Pixel 10 Pro XL based on the battery and heating concerns you already mentioned. But if you want something more reliable and stress-free, I’d go with either:
Samsung S24 Ultra / S25 Ultra – very balanced, strong battery life, excellent cameras, and consistent performance
OnePlus 13 / OnePlus 15 – even better battery endurance and very smooth for daily heavy use
Between the two, Samsung Ultra is the safest all rounder, while OnePlus is great if you want extra battery stamina and fast performance for the price
