Mama was talking to those on or under the poverty line Indirectly, this means the advice is for APC supporters. Finally the government is admitting that those who supported and voted for them are living in perpetual poverty. APC Nairaland branch, please confirm this statement for us. Aunty Remi shared expensive cars for the women leaders and she has advised the APC female and male supporters to tell their wives, mothers, sisters, aunties to go fry akara and sell puff puff and kuli kuli ![]() |

I am surprised people are overlooking something she said in that interview. "So we've encouraged Nigerians as best as we could. What is within our hands, I have given, and I keep giving. "I remember giving for TB. When I heard there were so many TB cases, I gave N2 billion. To breast cancer, I gave a billion. For food malnutrition, I gave half a billion." I, we. They want to turn us to a charity case. What a shame. Before her husband's inauguration in May 2023, Remi Tinubu stated that her family did not require Nigeria's wealth to survive, emphasizing that they are already blessed. She pledged to use her position to guide the nation onto the correct path and promised that they would do the right thing with the country's resources. For a former Senator not to know that there are specific institutions to do what she is talking about, I now forgive Aisha Buhari who channeled her frustration to the right quarters. Madam, there are budget allocations for these things. It means you are not on top of your game if you have to fund the country with your charity when there is a government. Shame again. |

SixSeven:And who said the givt ministry or agency responsible for these things you mentioned aren't doing anything....if we were to rely only on govt, then why do we need NGOs and charity drives......why do you have foundations abroad when tbeir govts are so effective......are you reasonably hearing yourself. |

Guess their children are doing this in NNPC, CBN and other juicy govt organization posts? See how these wicked souls have weaponized poverty, now rationalized it and further continue bastardized the psychic of those whom they oppress? |

So families that have been selling akara before I was born and those still selling till date, are not humans, ehn? So every Nigerian should be selling cars. Zombiesm of the highest order. ![]() That woman advice was for those who have interest in selling akara or other small businesses in the same level. |
| Re: Remi Tinubu’s Akara & Kulikuli Advice Not For Yahoo Boys, Obidients – Ayekoto by AustineE1: 4:47pm On Jun 27 |
WhiteIverson:You are apt and on point!...this is same reason they weaponized poverty to their own advantage,so they can share cups of rice, pastas and salt during elections and buy they votes of these vulnerable Nigerians....at a time when she was distributing new cars to APC women leaders and asking they 1st Ladies of various APC states to do same to APC women party leaders. This is done without minding the high cost of new cars but ordinary Nigerians should be empowered with beans and oil and probably a frying pan,so they make Akara for a living. Las las we go get sense for this country. |

SixSeven:Oga Sukueku, have you pondered on whether the budget allocation can get to everybody. Is it not proper that she gives the downtrodden whom the allocated budget would never flow down to. Are akara sellers demons that some of you are disparaging them. I have heard some akara sellers using this low level business to send their children to Universities. Most people disparaging akara sellers because of politics should cover their faces with soiled clothes because they have erred. The world is all about the rich, not rich and the downtrodden and these three levels are in all the nations of the world. Should we only cater and talk about the first two and leave the third? |

SixSeven:Either you agree or not, there is a tribe in Nigeria...beautiful and sincere people...that 80% of their women sell ogi and akara and it is a business that has been used by them to train numerous children. They still do till date. They would rather sell akara than do crime. |

Remi Tinubu’s “advice” that Nigerian women should go and fry akara, sell roasted corn, and hawk kulikuli to survive is not just tone-deaf, it is a disgusting display of elitist detachment from the hell millions of Nigerians are living in. This is a woman whose family lives in obscene luxury, shielded by state resources, while the masses she lectures are drowning in inflation, unemployment, and hunger caused in part by the very policies her husband champions. Telling struggling families to “go and sell akara” as a serious economic solution is not wisdom, it is mockery. Akara and kulikuli cannot pay rent. They cannot buy school books. They cannot cover hospital bills in a country where one malaria episode can wipe out a month’s earnings. This is the height of arrogance from a First Family that has turned Nigeria into a brutal emerging caste system: them at the top in private jets and bulletproof luxury, while the rest are expected to accept petty trading as their eternal destiny. And the worst part? The sycophants standing behind her, nodding vigorously like broken puppets, clapping for crumbs. Prosperity will judge all of you. Your own children will one day sell akara and roasted corn on the streets. Your daughters will hawk kulikuli under the sun while the children of the powerful study abroad and inherit empires. This is not leadership. This is class warfare disguised as advice. The Tinubus are not building a country, they are entrenching a new feudal order where the poor must remain grateful for crumbs while the ruling class feasts. History will remember this moment as one of the most insulting utterances ever made by a First Lady to a suffering nation. |

Putinofrussia:Nigeria's First Lady told unemployed, university-educated youths to go fry Akara on the street because "it is not difficult." Then, an APC chieftain said he is "filled with shame" because the youth got angry at this "honest advice." Honestly, I agree with him! It is a brilliant advice. In fact, let's start the implementation with the politicians' families. Imagine a politician's son landing in Abuja straight from London with a first-class degree from Oxford. His dad hugs him at the airport, hands him an apron, a giant iron pot, and says: "Welcome home, my boy! We have secured a prime spot for you next to the gutter on the highway. Go and fry akara for Nigeria's economic recovery!" Because if street-corner frying is a dignified career path for Nigeria's future, surely it's good enough for the children of the elite! Why hide them in high-paying CBN and NNPC jobs? Give them the frying pans first! Let them lead by example! https://www.tiktok.com/video/7651353890704592149 Politicians love telling the public to "tighten their belts" while they are busy buying luxury SUVs and expanding their own waistlines. They crash the economy, destroy the power grid, and then wonder why you can't fry beans in the dark. Peace be for you
