If this kind of goal was cancelled in favour of Argentina, some would have said FIFA was protecting Argentina and most especially Messi. Now it happened in favour of Portugal and Ronaldo.

The V.A.R replay showed the top of Sanchez's boot was offside but I highly doubt that. This looks like a clear goal for Colombia.

EIGHT African teams are now thru to the round of 32🥳🥳

Algeria will soon make it NINE out of 10 teams. What a fantastic achievement for the teams and CAF

It was a clear goal
Even the var lined marked it green
Why the Ref choose to disallowed it, nobody knows
With the high sales of tickets and the price, maybe the moneybags 💰 marked it full time draw

The Dr. Congo coach is an elite-level coach, and I will be shocked if he stays with that team after this World Cup. Some of these Middle Eastern countries will throw the kind of money at him that Dr. Congo cannot just match. They still have some top attacking talents coming to them after the World Cup, like Senny Mayulu of PSG.

I don't know if he will choose to stay and chase the AFCON title and perhaps a real run in the 2030 World Cup with some big attacking talents that are on their way. The Democratic Republic of Congo will be a problem in Africa for the next foreseeable future.

AFCON, to me, has now established itself as the second most competitive continental tournament, only behind the Euros. He is milking out every ounce of ability in that Dr. Congo team. I love Eric Chelle, but he tactically outmaneuvered him in that playoff finals. England struggled with Ghana's and Panama's low block and physicality, and they can give England problems.

They are now playing with house money. They have nothing to loose anymore. They have outperformed expectations, and all the pressure in the world will be on England on that day. The world will expect England just like they expected Portugal to tame them, but it is now up to Dr. Congo to shock the world like they did against Portugal.

Some are saying Colombia's goal was cancelled because FIFA wanted a quarter final between Argentina and Portugal, which a Portugal victory tonight would have almost guaranteed.

Lo Celso scores his first career FIFA World Cup goal in incredible fashion. Messi gives his seal of approval from the bench. Argentina vs Portugal match for final. Hopefully 😂

Argentina gets a penalty. After VAR After review, a penalty is called against Jordan on this foul , Easy group games for the reigning world champions

Does this mean that Algeria cannot find a half-decent goalkeeper that simply can't keep costing them games? Ninety percent of the goals they've conceded are due to poor goalkeeping. Where did they find these useless goalkeepers from?

Jordan 1-2 Argentina. Jordan has scored against every team in their group. Not exiting without goal souvenirs. grin

BREAKING: Portugal 🇵🇹 vs Colombia 🇨🇴 in Miami is officially the MOST in-demand game of the World Cup. 5M ticket requests in 24 hours 😳
• Even coach Roberto Martínez had to secure tickets early for family
• Resale prices hitting $6,000+ 💸
• Reports say it’s the hottest group-stage fixture of all 72 games
grin Didnt live up to expectations though
Was it worth the money ?
How does Speed & his team get easy access to every stadium
Although they aren’t sitting though, always on their feet

What in the world is Algeria doing ?
Playing Ping Pong with Austria
I’d be disappointed if Austria edges this game
It is 2 - 2 at the 70th minute
Can’t Algéria try to win this game

Anyway it is better to face Switzerland than to face Espania
Hoping Algeria can hold
