Isi gini? Napo what? Abeg, Make dem no do another Koulibaly situation with Nwaiwu unless Nwaiwu himself wants to play there for 10yrs.

With that said, Italy would actually suit him. EPL too. Both leagues are for a technical powerhouse CB like Nwaiwu.
Napoli is the best move for him there sha
He should be smart enough to include a release clause in his contract

As much as I have enjoyed the group stage of the world cup for a good part... It must be admitted that this edition does not compare in quality and high-end competition to the 32-teams format.

Proper World Cups can have you play some of the most scintillating football of the tournament and still narrowly crash out in the first round. It is that ruthless and unforgiving unlike this 48-teams format that is too forgiving.

We see different benchmarks set now against weaker oppositions... Weak sides that you wont or will hardly find in a 32-teams format and this is why it was very difficult to set some of the present benchmarks back then. This is because every game back then was a true battle of the topmost quality and even though we still had the occasional blowouts, it was not regular at all.
A few of them even took place between 2 big teams in which tactical superiority and lethal conversion decided it. E.g. Netherlands 5-1 Spain in 2014 WC. Spain were defending Champions.

In the end... I really fear for more dip in quality if the Competition expands further to 64. Na manage we dey manage this 48 sef.

Provided they dont pull a KK-de ja vu on Nwaiwu, I actually fancy Napoli for him. And you are right... A release clause with a fair figure like Kim Min Jae had will help avoid the KK situation surely.

Brotherly if Napoli dey serious mk em join asap. The only thing be say mk him and his agent know the type of favourable agreement they ought to have in his contract with the club for him to leave easily if interest comes from bigger teams

Another super eagles CB I pray he gets a move in Serie A big clubs in the nearest future is Bassey. He will surely cook in Italy

I know ooo. Just had to present with caution first and a reminder of how KK was treated. But then Kim did not have an issue because of a release clause he inserted from the get-go which made his departure to Bayern hassle-free. I hope Nwaiwu and his handlers do same if ADL is serious about bagging him.

Like I already said, Serie A suits him so well.

I guess Serie A clubs consider Bassey expensive which is why we are not getting links of him to Italy just yet. He is an EPL-proven CB, experience in the Eredivisie and has European final experience. His profile is higher and would cost more than is being quoted for Nwaiwu.

Yes. But the actual story is that he has passport issues and was on holidays. The switch matter is also valid and that is why I said he needs a switch.

After all Colombia beat DRC by just 1 goal

It’s possible Ghana drag them to penalties

With 2 other disallowed goals. Columbia wanted to finish them outright. Dont let the scoreline fool you oo. Columbia had 20 shots, 9 on target and the DRC goalkeeper made 8 saves

African teams that I think have the most realistic chance of advancing to the round of 16 are Morocco, Senegal, and CIV based on their level of talent. Egypt too could probably sneak through. If the others make it through it means their opponents were really poor and didn't play up to their capabilities.

Yes we were outsmarted by the coach but a little bit of badluck on our end aided them on the day. Ndidi and Chukwueze getting into each others way for what should have been a second goal plus the loss of Osimhen which emboldened the Congolese to come at us.

EElopa:
The Dr. Congo coach is an elite-level coach, and I will be shocked if he stays with that team after this World Cup. Some of these Middle Eastern countries will throw the kind of money at him that Dr. Congo cannot just match. They still have some top attacking talents coming to them after the World Cup, like Senny Mayulu of PSG.

I don't know if he will choose to stay and chase the AFCON title and perhaps a real run in the 2030 World Cup with some big attacking talents that are on their way. The Democratic Republic of Congo will be a problem in Africa for the next foreseeable future.

AFCON, to me, has now established itself as the second most competitive continental tournament, only behind the Euros. He is milking out every ounce of ability in that Dr. Congo team. I love Eric Chelle, but he tactically outmaneuvered him in that playoff finals. England struggled with Ghana's and Panama's low block and physicality, and they can give England problems.

They are now playing with house money. They have nothing to loose anymore. They have outperformed expectations, and all the pressure in the world will be on England on that day. The world will expect England just like they expected Portugal to tame them, but it is now up to Dr. Congo to shock the world like they did against Portugal.

Don't be surprised if
1) South Africa beat Canada (Canada is trash for me so far)
2) Senegal beat Belgium (I just have that feeling)
3) Egypt beat Australia (If Australia wins sef I'll be surprised)
4) DRC beat England (yes, I'm not impressed with the England team. Plus DeSabre's DRC is good at frustrating teams like England who play safe and rotate the ball endlessly, waiting for openings. I see them bottling to DRC.)

The other African countries might not scrape through.

Morocco are crazy strong and stubborn, but the Dutch are one of the few teams in this WC who I believe can stop Morocco cold. If the Dutch can't stop them, Morocco might be reaching another SF.

Norway with Haaland in front is going to be a handful for Ivory Coast. Ivory Coast will surely concede at least 2 goals. The question is if they can score enough to match Norway.

Something tells me Ghana and Cape Verde have run out of lives against Colombia and Argentina respectively.

Switzerland Algeria will be close, but I think the Swiss simply have too much firepower for the North Africans.

But then again, this is football. Maybe all the African teams I said will progress won't progress, and the ones I said won't progress will progress.

Or maybe all of them will come home like you said.
Baba, my prayer and hope is for all of them to come home.

I disagree that they tactically defeated us. It was sheer physicality.
