Either Morocco or The Netherlands will paste these Canadians. They got lucky vs SA because the SA forward line barely troubled the Canadian defense, aside from some speculative outside-the-box shots. |

The only team that can go really far from afrika is Morocco.. the only team that myt win the world cup friom afrika in future still is nigeria if only we bring in2 super eagles most of our young solid players in diaspora e.g femi azeez mixdem with best of home grown talent. Some of this present eagles player Don dey old and dem no be Messi nor ronaldo. Truth be told their quality and commitment is questionable just few is committed and quality you and I know . With chelle the future looks a bit 👌. If only we can get serious like morocco hehnnn we go dey trash any team in the world. See ollse see musiala see balogun see ezeh see saka Imajin dem in SE |

Football is not rocket science, and when somebody tries to convince me that a player playing in South Africa is better than a player playing in Serie A, I just laugh at how ridiculous that sounds. This might have been the case 30 years ago, but football is now a global sport and a business for that matter. A lot of European clubs have extensive scouting departments, so if you are good, you will be discovered. A classmate of mine in high school who was very good immediately left for a Croatian team called HNK Gorica that discovered him through scouting in Abuja. When a player is playing in the South African league, he is not there because he was unlucky or has a bad agent; he is there because he has been extensively scouted and there are so many deficiencies in his game. South African players at this level just can not score or create chances. We can play another 24 hours; I don't think South Africa would have scored in this game. I don't even think they registered a shot on target against a very mediocre Canadian team. When you watch them, you will see why they are in South Africa, and that is because there are deficiencies to their game. Their best player on the pitch, Mbokazi, plays for Chicago Fire, and you can see he was levels above his teammates, and with his performance today, he will probably be heading to Europe. The guy that scored the only open-play goal that they had in this tournament, Maseko, plays in Europe and not the South African league. There are levels to this game, and this is why there is a strong correlation between the league a player plays in and his quality. A player playing in South Africa can never under any circumstance be better in any position than a Serie A player. |

Africa vs least ranked countries in their group SA 1-1 Cze Mor 4-2 Haiti Tun 1-5 Swe (Though Tunisia is the least ranked) CPV 0-0 Saudi CIV 2-0 Curacao Alg 2-1 Jor Egypt 3-1 Nzl Gha 1-0 Panama DRC 2-1 Uzb Sen 5-0 Iraq Only Senegal and Morocco dealth with Worldcup minnows same way would face an african minnow… DRC should had a low score against a team who just broke their world cup virginity Ghana defending against a worldcup minnow Panama to just score a die min 1-0 To be fair with Tunisia their group seems to be the most technical group/group of death…there are no minnow in that group as far as world cup is concerned, Tunisia just went and looseguard against those top guys(Netherland,Japan,Sweden and Tunisia are worldcup experienced Teams) Top 4 african team performance from group stage for me are 1.Morocco(winning two games especially beating the minnow of their group with a commanding score line) 2. Egypt (Holding Belgium and beating Newzealand handsomely) 3. Senegal(though losing two games to European balanced teams and whitewashing the minnows in their group) 4. CPV(Drawing all the experienced world cup teams as minnows and qualifying to the next stage) I will support this 4 advancing to R16, but Senegal vs Belgium(hmmm if Senegal can up their tempo they should breeze past the Belgians) Egypt vs Australia (Should be an easy passage for the Egyptians) Morocco vs Netherland Argentina vs Capeverde sope otilor |

EElopa:Their keeper is levels above so many keeper in Europe You're saying all this because they lost. They are only lacking strikers. Dot. Forget this same team stopped Nigeria from qualifying. No disrespect. |

What does Nigeria need to do under 4 years to match the form of Morocco in the last 2 world cup that we missed. They didn't lose in the group stage. When last has Nigeria registered no L in group stages? We need to set this house in order nd funds and each of protocol and seriousness in recruitment is needed. We also need to have a pattern of play and players that fit such profile. We also need to have an emergency appro6when things are not going our way vs top teams, incase we go backfoot. There's no way we would have been here and not get 2 wins with the level of football im seeing from the african reps. The only downside is we go be goal-goal team for this WC. Nwabali better do what is necessary or else... We still need him i won't lie. But he needs to fix that club issue asap. |

TheSuperNerd:If Morocco manage to stun Netherlands then they'll reach that final. That means only self destruct will stop them. For now, Netherlands is the favourite all rounda. Morocco and Civ are suspect. Ghana dey try. These 4, cape verde inclusive, have proven to have a solid backline for me at this tournament. |
