COOL10:
It pisses me off how a team as technical and exciting as Japan decided to sit at the back after going ahead early in the game. What was even more frustrating was the selfishness in front of goal from their attackers.

Japan shot themselves in the foot.
With regard to their selfishness, we all can now see why Osimhen was yelling at his teammates at the last AFCON. Japan needed someone, on the field, to wake up their attackers and urge them to play as a unit

Japan are unlucky. They met Brazil too early. Adieu my blue samurai

Add Morocco to the list. Though I think they'll defeat Netherlands
They are a really good side particularly given that they have changed from their ultra defensive mode used in Qatar

Brazil are height shaming Japs, because they know they are short, they started crossing into the box, very very unfair.

But I felt pained o. Last minute heartbreak no good for fans body. Though I rejoiced for the perfect timing of SA's own

Exciting game. Brazil showed why they are one of the world’s best, and Japan showed just how much they have grown. I like this Japanese team, and my respect for both teams has only grown.

Hopefully japan gets a good bracket for 2030

Brazil in Round of 32 is way too early for Japan.

Japan vs brazil is like a quarter final match up which sadly happened in round 32.

Japan is still the strongest football team in whole Asia

Same page my brother. But Brazil outplayed the Japs in the 2nd half and they deservedly won at the end on the balance of play. Kundus to the Japs.

Of course, I know look can be deceiving.
But we can't rule it out.
You're a striker, you are to face a defender in a one on one duel.
You're given 3 options - Huljsen (?), Magahles and Calvin Bassey. Who would you pick?

TheSuperNerd:
Abeg, make mouth as a you please. Gabriel and Martinelli have been massive today.

Kudos to Japan though. The most Solidly tactically disciplined side outside the Top 5 favs.

Tomiyasu, your former guy too was good for Japan.
😂😂😂

Yea. Japan really tried. Since that famous 2-2 draw against Senegal, I've been following them. They're stubborn and are built for various tactics.

Tomiyasu is a player I really admire. Sadly, injury did him dirty

Patriotic citizens. They saw that they would miss the june 30th protest if they beat Canada and said No! They wont abandon their civic duties. Not even for FIFA!!. That was why the goal came at the die minute.

Australia is the last AFC team in the tournament. They lose and AFC will be out of the competition before the r16

Japan went all defensive too early. Had Brazil on the ropes and Paqueta was out there injured and they decided to only defend the one goal lead. You can’t be cowardly. The football gods will punish you

If it's by how fierce they think they look is how strikers will fear them, then the tiniest, sleek/flairy striker will yeye them

Japan lost again the same way they lost to Belgium last time . Inexperience cost them . It will take a long time for country that has never win the world cup to win it .people said Japan try but they are not in the world cup to try but to win matches . They should have score another goal before going defensive

Well said , I was wondering how they plan to defend 1 goal for the whole day . Their selfishness players cause them

Paraguay leading Germany ,next thing you see final score 3 goals to Germany. Big teams appear to use experience to escape defeat

Bro, 🤣 😂. The pain can be indescribable. 2021 AFCON . Tunisia 1 vs 0 Nigeria. After winning all our group stage games. Eguavone voted best coach in the group stage. Then we lost to a covid ravaged Tunisian side that finished as 3rd best team in the first knockout game of the competition. That pain I felt 😂😂

There's this special kind of pain that comes when you're the first to be elimnated in the knockouts

Almost feels like you left in the group stages grin

That game is the reason why a lot of people will NEVER fully trust Maduka Okoye

Daniel Akpeyi never recovered from that free kick vs Mahrez in Afcon 2019
