Let's just agree that Morocco is the standard for how African teams should play in the world stage. |

semid4lyfe:I'm happy for Bono but imo I think he was shitty in his saves. For two or three good times he clearly moved before the ball was even close to being kicked. He's just lucky the dutch are also shitty at penalties. For the last one. He was also lucky but I have to give it to him. He predicted a centre penalty but Summerville kinda lifted (chip) the ball to his right so was able to quickly readjust cos the ball was slow. |

semid4lyfe:The only reason they found themselves in that position is because Koeman set up the team in a totally different way than they're used to. The Netherlands are known to play possessive, rapid attacking football and not the defensive nonsense we just watched. They have more than enough players to play exciting football and they did so in their group stage matches. Who is in the Moroccan defense that Gakpo, Brobbey, Summerville, Malen, Kluivert, Gravernbech, Dumfries and Tijani Reinders can't score multiple goals against? They approached the game with a defensive mindset and that's definitely a coaching problem. Koeman just insulted the Netherlands' football identity with his stupid defensive tactics. The same nonsense happened with Japan yesterday evening. Great technical players who were ridiculed by their coach's irrational defensive tactics. |

COOL10:Japan's own is different. Brazil forced them into the defending in the 2nd half. They simply could not play end-to-end football with Brazil. Infact that's exactly what caused them the loss. One of their defenders was trying to hold the ball and set up attack and was dispossessed. If he was being the defensive he would have kicked the ball out of play. |

If Morocco make it to the quarterfinals, their world ranking should surely move up to 5th or higher |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by COOL10(m): 6:13am On Jun 30 |
JohnBullMySon:Bro, Japan INTENTIONALLY started defending after scoring in the 29th minute. They invited the pressure upon themselves. Brazil did not come alive until the second half when they started putting multiple crosses into the box. Japan stopped applying pressure after scoring one goal and that's what destroyed them. The current Brazilian players are not as technical as the Japanese players. I don't know why people keep underating Japan. Those people dey ball even with their short height. If the Japanese continued applying pressure, they would have scored at least three goals before Brazil woke up. |

I'm afraid morroco will rule Africa for years. No africa team come close. I even see them improving from what they already have,by getting more quality dual player's. |

It would only reach 5th if Brazil fails to make the Quarters too. You have to consider the pts gap of the teams ahead in the Live rankings. PDPGuy: |

COOL10:I watched the game. Up until the HT whistle Japan was more dominant in attack. However, sometimes football doesn’t let you choose what to do. You play according to how the game has played out. When a world class team like Brazil in good form have conceded a goal in the first half in a crucial match, you expect the 2nd to be a tight game played mostly in your half. A European team would have taken that game into extra time. Japan in their quest to move the ball forward ended up conceding goals. |

Most people hate-watching Morocco aren't doing it because of their disgusting behavior at the AFCON but for what they did to Portugal in the last world cup. 🤣😂 |

Morocco is the model to how African teams should play. There is nothing special about these European teams, and Morocco is showing us that, unlike other African teams that tend to be jittery against these so called European big boys. I will always root for Morocco just as I root for other African teams except Ghana and SA. |

JohnBullMySon:Lol, I watched the game as well, and I have watched every Brazilian game in this world cup so far. This Brazilian team is not world class in any way, shape or form, and this is coming from a huge fan of Brazil (me). This present Brazilian team is average and the players crack under pressure. You see that expectation you mentioned, that's exactly what destroyed the Japanese. They gave too much respect to an average Brazilian team. Even a Secondary school team will develop confidence if a better team decides to sit back against them. There's a time to defend and it definitely doesn't start from the 29th minute after scoring your first goal. That Japanese coach needs to apologise to the whole of Japan for making his incredible technically gifted players look ordinary against an average Brazilian team. |

zicky:Most people(Ronaldo fans) hate Morocco because of stopping Ronaldo same year Messi won the world cup. Ronaldo fans have had that hatred for both Morocco and Randal Kolo Muani long before the AFCON final. |

ChrisKels: ChrisKels:Speak for yourself. Nothing concern me with the Ronaldo vs Messi fandom, and projecting love for Ronaldo and Morocco's elimination of Portugal as the reason for hatewatching Morocco is puerile. In fact, I supported Morocco until their shitshow at the AFCON. The current Morocco has always been a good ball playing side and all those antics they pulled at the AFCON were off putting. Ivory Coast hosted the AFCON before theirs and won it. No one raised an eyebrow or accused them of underhand tactics. If Morocco wants to win the AFCON, they should do so on their football merit and not resort to refereeing bias/assisted officiating, underhand tactics and boardroom politics. I rate them highly and actually picked them over Netherlands and will pick them over Canada in the R16 but the last AFCON left a sour taste in my mouth so I'll be hatewatching them until they're knocked out. Hopefully in the Q/finals. |
