Morocco outplaying the dutch is so ironic given that half the squad are dutch 'rejects'

Like how does an African National team that relies on poaching talents from her diaspora get so good to the point that she plays better than the country where the squad members came from.

⚫⚪#Fulham have submitted an improved bid for Trabzonspor defender Chibuike Nwaiwu after their initial €20 million offer was rejected.

#Trabzonspor are reportedly holding out for around €30 million before agreeing to sell the 22-year-old centre-back.

According to Turkish outlet @Taka61, the Premier League side have now returned with a €25 million proposal for the #Nigeria international as they look to strengthen their defence. Everton and Westham rumored to be interested too
Nwaiwu is good, I love his passionate way of defending but I must say, Fulham already have Bassey and this Moroccan Issa Diop is also a Fulham player. Can Nwaiwu bench Diop? Because I personally don't want him to go to Fulham and be staying on the bench

I like your submission but you did not take the Brazilian coach strategic changes into consideration those changes did alot of damage to the Japan defence. Ancelotti is facing these Japanese coach for the second time since he took the Brazil job,The first time Japan came from behind to beat Brazil in a friendly if the Japanese coach decides to defend from deep I believe he has its reason although it did not play out well.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not taking anything away from "The Don" Ancelotti. I respect that man a lot, and you're right, he made strategic changes but they came in the second half. My point is Japan could have scored at least one more goal in the first half if they didn't sit back after the first goal. They have the quality to do so.

Brazil were always going to wake up no matter what, so why not score as many goals as you can when they're weak and vulnerable? 🤷🏽‍♂️

Mohamed Ouahbi's Maroc keeps the ball better and transits even better than Regragui's Morocco.
He has already mastered the ultradefensive and counterattacking template but has evolved his tactics since the U20 WC win last year to be more assertive and ball-possessive using shaped positional plays on the left and right sides of the field in both defensive and offensive halves.
He's good and he is not even 6months on the job yet.

Wetin happen to the squad?
Those are not french players. The idea and what makes national team sports like this meaningful is the variety of nations represented in their true ethnic configuration not citizenship acquired on paper. One, two or three players outside the ethnic or racial stock is okay. But to have almost the entire team made of blacks defeats the idea.

I see people ask online: Argentina has no black players. I say haa. Does Senegal have white players? Once others object, they are labelled racists.

I'm happy Morocco won. Planning and systems win over magic thinking.

And I think this reflects the character of Morocco in other aspects too. Their tourism industry is one of the best in the world.

Here we'd rather die than plan. If we plan, to execute am, wahala. One person go siddon chop all the money.

I hate heterogeneous societies. If we were all one or two or even three ethnic groups, it would have been better.

There's this sense of lack of ownership that drives corruption in Nigeria.

Inspite of my avowed antagonism to all African countries, I really do wish Morocco well.

The assumption that these players hold citizenship just "acquired on paper" doesn't match the reality of their lives
majority of Black players on the French team were born and raised in France
They grew up in different cities in France, speaking French as their native language and training in French academy systems

If someone is born in France, pays taxes in France, represents France, and identifies as French, they are the true configuration of modern France

So we can see that it's not only football talents that they are grooming. They are grooming coaches. Grooming football administrators. Creating a functional ecosystem and industry.

As I dey type, e dey pain me. Because even if one state decides to be systematic on this issue in Nigeria, it will make a difference but then again it will not.

I served in Akure and spent 7 years there. When I got there, I swear the place looked like a village. But before my very eyes, Governor Mimiko transformed the city - dualized the roads, tarred inner city roads, built bus stops, beautified the city, made it clean as in Akure was neat. He built one beautiful fountain at Alagbaka. Na there people dey go snap then. The firm I worked for, our office at BOI building, overlooking the fountain.

What did Akeredolu do when he came? Instead of building on or at least maintaining what Mimiko his predecessor did, he left everything to go to waste. Go and see Akure now. It's a shadow of itself. Durty, yes durty everywhere, roads are bad, busstops razz, no water in the fountain at Alagbaka. Bad odour everywhere.

Kai, I went to Akure in 2024, the pain in my chest was unbearable. I couldn't recognise the city

I don tire. To plan, maintain, sustain is like death for us.

It shows these European teams are not all that..
If African teams play with bravery and learn to take their chances, we can beat these European teams regularly

400 years in America is not 30 years. They were there over a 100 years before America became a nation.

French team in the 80s v french team in 2026.
