South Africa, Ivory Coast and DR Congo all succumbed to late goals. This is a cause for concern for African teams. What I've notice with African teams is their lack of not maintaining what they started they easily get carried away

Black African teams start with intensity, talent, and confidence, then lose momentum before the finish line. The quality is there, but concentration and mental discipline fade too easily under pressure. Football at the highest level is not just talent and physicality.. it’s focus, game management, and staying mentally locked in for 90 minutes.

You see this AFCON qualifiers, I just want 16 points minimum, that is 5 wins and 1 draw (maybe to Tanzania away). We have no business still fighting for qualification on the last day. We should be qualifying with games to spare.
Amen ooooo

Poor mentality can bury even the greatest of destinities.
African teams are giving too much respect to these european teams.
Wasted efforts.

Chelle plans Super Eagles revamp ahead of AFCON qualifiers.

Super Eagles boss Eric Chelle has begun a major squad rebuild ahead of September's AFCON qualifiers.

The Nigerian coach is reportedly in talks with a top-flight Europe-based midfielder and an uncapped dual-nationality defender as he looks to inject fresh quality into the national team.

Both players are among five exciting targets being monitored.

With only one qualification spot available in a tough group featuring Madagascar, Guinea-Bissau, and hosts Tanzania, every decision counts.

Chelle is leaving nothing to chance as Nigeria sets its sights on another AFCON appearance.

Senegal are balling the hells out of Belgium Right now , hope they capitalize on the momentum and score. Tired of seeing African teams go on the "we deserved better " gimmick.

Ahead of Kalidou Koulibaly. Cant say I blame Pape Thiaw. He did not want to risk young Sarr in a K.Os.

But I still want them to come home. Dakar needs them

Senegal. The real African Champs for a reason. I like the confidence.

They qualified from an insanely difficult group. Teams playing against France in this WC will testify.

Senegal, you are better than this Belgian team. Don't take your foot off the pedal and start trying to hang on. Continue playing and start looking to score more. Do they have that mentality, or will they go back to the normal routine of playing scared when up against supposedly superior opponents? Go and beat this team.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by daveP(m): 9:32pm On Jul 01
Belgium should go home abeg. Nothing special. It took two old men men in Lukaku and Trossard to reach here. Let Africa proceed. We need at least two in semis. E go sweet everybody and hell will be let lose on the current administration of nff.

This is the first World Cup in which TWO African teams have both scored first in the knockout round!

Out of 9 that made it into the K.Os, it was bound to happen. It should increase to 3 with 4 more games to come.
