This was so heartwrenching to watch. I felt like shedding tears for Senegal, alas shedding tears for Africa.

How in God's name do you conceed two goals in 3 minutes?

How?

This loss is all the coach, Papa Thiaw, you have no business making those early subs when leading 2 - 0, your first two subs should be at 80'...., Second two subs should be at 89' , then the last one at 93'... That way you will effectively kill any form of momentum from Belgium.

Imagine the Idiot removing the steel in his midfield who was helping old Gueye to hold the Belgians at bay in the 60th minute...

Nonsense

Finally saw the two goals that drew the game. It's either fate is a cruel joker or Senegal is just under a spell from a newly initiated witch!

Okay y'all have shat the bed. Hold on for a shootout. No, they bent over for some Belgian ass smack.

This was the easiest match Senegal had among the three Europeans.

Besides that Penalty is a 50/50 tackle from both players.

Why will you give such a highly debatable pk at such a dying minutes of the game. This is why they beat some refs

Who he had given Senegal that pk if it was the other way around?

Nonsense Racists

Thanks for taking me back that torturous memory lane...I was depressed for some days after that game, Ighalo's sitter miss and that legit PK call we never got even made it worse.
Omo if we no do our job well, onyibo go help us jah us kpata kpata…that why as african use your chances well, onyibo man go throway face when its time to favour you

I still blame Victor Moses for switching off, defensively, and allowing Rojo a free reign to plant that header into the net 😡
We really need to learn to reserve energy when it matters the most

Egypt will lead 2-0 and you'd come from behind to beat them ke?

Cape Verde had better not give us hope by taking the lead and then shitting the bed deep into the game undecided I no get any more strength to crash out.

TheSuperNerd:
Sadly, It was a penalty. Lamine Camara did kick Tielemans' foot and not the ball. Pape Thiaw's game management was shitty and taking out Pape Gueye on 66mins, so early to bring in Lamine Camara who went on to concede a pen is quite pointedly disastrous.

Belgium wins and it is Afcon final De Ja Vu for Senegal.

Darkhorse Belgium survives another African Powerhouse.
You are spot on as usual. Meanwhile why didn't Senegal do like they did in the AFCON final, maybe Tielemann for lose the penalty too.

Our "6- and 7-African teams to qualify for Round of 16" folks, I greet una ooo. grin

Truidstarr, I greet u too.

4 down, 1 in... 4 to go ⏳️

TheSuperNerd:
Truidstarr said it but una think say na joke... He boldly said no african team will make it to the Round of 16. Only Morocco has escaped that his wicked prediction. 3 have fallen.

I remember my reply to him. That he could be either 100%, 88.9% (8/9) or 77.8% (7/9) or 66.7% (6/9) correct. So far, his is the closest.

5 reps to go now. To those who predicted 6 or 7 to make it through, una don already fail am ooo. 5 left and no way all 5 make it to make the prediction of 6 come through.

Next up: Belgium v Senegal.

Watching USA v Bosnia

The difference between the US crowd supporting their team at home compared to Mexicans supporting their home team is massive.

More noise
More atmosphere
More engaged
More fun

A replay would be lovely. Even lovelier Mbappe and co caries it this time. I foresee a lopsided final.

Sugarboyy:
France "might" win this time. This France squad is scary even though I would be vouching for Argentina

Penalty or no penalty

Senegal deserved to loose that game

Conceding 2 goals in such critical time is unforgiveable

From the start of this tournament, they've looked like the shadow of themselves

I leave it at that

It is sad and unacceptable that the last time a sub-Saharan African team won a WC knockout match was way back in 2010, when Ghana beat the USA 2-1 after extra time!
