Why are Asians —or let me humor you, South Asians not having the same success? Or Japan and South Korea are outliers?
minfelix:
Why are you all just emotionally being triggered by the mention of this common menace that faces us?…..The Japan you are calling have experienced more successes or have covered more ground than all Africans put together especially black african at the world cup level by qualifying to knockout stage for like 6 different editions(No african team have eqauled that)…before we dreamed to reach Semifinals Korea has already broken that record.

Now to the emboldened, Baba its an African problem, and its not only on this thread they are discussing it…try dey observe posts by bloggers on Facebook,Tiktok,Twitter,Instagram..everyone is complaining thesame thing about African on videos, text and comment section….we here in Nairaland are just adding technical analysis and being elite with our dispositions.

BABA its majorly an AFRICAN THING from our Powerhouse to Minnows(if we be Haiti, Tahiti and Curacao then no issue) we are Africans with history of world class players, we should be gracing knockout stages like water and reaching Semifinal and Final like water, how can we do this is by avoiding this annoying defeat to some of these un-inform European teams, see as Paraguay take pursue Germany(if na Africa we go surely bottle that lead)…on no account should an entire African team not advanced to knockout stage just as we witnessed in 2018 world cup(very shameful edition where all 5 African powerhouse teams exited group stage. very very shameful!!)
And you same make people no talk🤣🤣🤣

🇳🇬 BREAKING NEWS: Daniel Daga has won his appeal and has been acquitted of all criminal charges.

A Molde statement says he is now available for selection in their next games as they await the final judgment of the case.
Sigh of relief. His head should be screwed on tight and his discernment as sharp as a pin henceforth

💯 am with you on this even Cape Verde treat Nigerians like shit when folks go there for tourism.

I wonder why we Nigerians are getting emotional over this. Besides the way these African teams perform badly the better for us as a country for some bragging rights. The teams themselves are feeling overconfident so it’s good the way they are being humbled and I expect more defeats. Only Morocco seems to be an exception cos they look most disciplined African team.
If a country like DR Congo have been able to defeat England, this would have created a monster in them that would be too difficult to slain.

It just occurred to me that this kind of curlers is one of the essence of inverted wingers so that you cut in to your inverted right or left foot and curl the ball into the far end of the goal just this Norwegian player just did.

Our own inverted wingers go dribble until them reach touchline. I don't think I've ever seen Nigeria score this kind of goal

Offcus everyone will handle their affairs, e no still remove am say Africa dey mostly jonz on this things more.
After Europe, Africa has the second highest number number of participants…in r16 we should be having half of the CAF reps, but iffa hear say that one happen…Like this na only 1 or at best 2fit advance to that R16….Even with Germany and Holland wey jah they will he having like 7teams in r16.
if DRC get sense England no suppose smell r16
if CIV get sense Norway no suppose smell r16
if Senegal get sense Belgium no suppose smell r16
we suppose to get like 5CAF TEAMS in that r16(plus Morocco and possibly Egypt m)
They are simply not good enough; Belgium and England were easy prey! In fact, they were both frustrated in the games; it was just moments of brilliance from their big players that were the defining breakthroughs. CIV no get striker so how will they win? Senegal was throwing away chances, and I will say it again: Congo is all power, no brain, so forget it.

Na where all their strength reach all the teams stop!

I did this short. The Senegalese defender was more interested in gaming the referee than defence.

He and the keeper are silly

You have made my point for me already. Rohr is not Chelle. Not even Chelle had led 2-0 or 3-0 and surrendered it. Also, Maduka Okoye was in goal the day Rohr's team surrendered a 4 goal lead in an AfconQs.

Fact still remains that in World Cup History, we have never given up a 2 goal lead. That is on period. Saying it could happen is a defeatist point in as much as game management nous can be improved.

soetanoreoluwa:
The same way we have never give up 4 goal lead during afcon qualifier until Papa Gernot Rohr happened to us.

With out current coach it can happen to us. I respect Eric Chelle but it can behave in a manner that Senegalese coaches behave cos he is very daring. If Zimbabwe can scored us at the dying min then any team can do it to us at any major tournament.

Why will any right thinking person want Morocco to lose to Canada with the quality in the Moroccan squad, the hunger in them, and their enormous love for their country that makes them play their hearts out to defend their flag?

I just hope they will catch Portugal for me. 😂

I am glad reading this as it is a first step to his bounceback from this matter but with a final ultimate verdict awaited, I will stay my Joy for now.

I hope this serves as a huge lesson not just to Daga himself but to all our young black footballers from Nigeria and Africa as a whole. STAY AWAY FROM WOMEN IN EUROPE AND FOCUS ON YOUR FOOTBALL

And all of them may end up playing for Morocco,

But when it comes to young Nigerians FB at the big clubs,90% of them will decide to wait for their countries of birth.
Nigeria players are the most unpatriotic
Hmmm

Can you really blame them?

Morocco has a better footballing structure that is world class. We don't have auch

Morocco CA doesn't owe match bonuses sor hire incompetent coaches that collect bribes. This is something that had been endemic in our NFF before the arrival of Chelle

Morocco has world class stadiums and a clear development template. We don't have such

There's your answer bro. It isn't that they are unpatriotic but if you were in thwir shoes, you may make the same choices as them too

Your head dey there. That is my one gripe about VAR.
In my opinion, all VAR checks should last no longer than 90 seconds. If an incident is still not clear and obvious in that time frame, nothing should be awarded.

All these 4 or 5-minute VAR checks are nonsense
If it's not so clear for 90 secs, then it's not worth it.

Your head dey there.
