you should know when certain stats are built to create a false impression. "3" is enough based on the number of times we have qualífied to describe us 2 goal lead monster. 3 is enough to describe Cape Verde as an undefeatable monster team in the world cup based the number of times theyve appeared in the world cup, up to this moment before their game against Argentina. When you play enough games at the world cup, you are bound to squander a 2 goal lead like Argentina at some point. You are bound to lose at the Maracana stadium by 7-1 in a semifinal match. You are bound to lose to a debutant like Senegal as a defending champion. And this is all football. For now you are still crawling between making appearances and advancing group stages. Maybe you'd say we are not Senegal, but the point is, Senegal shouldn't be our yardstick. Argentina, Brazil and France should be our yardstick for success. TheSuperNerd: |

charlesemeka85:Can the Turkish league please refrain from pursuing our players? Why are these motherfuckers always chasing Nigerian players like a buck chasing a doe during mating rut season? This is fucking getting annoying, man. Fucking leave us alone. They are chasing Osimhen, Lookman, Iwobi, Bassey, Onyedika, and Chukwueze; they swear una for Nigerian players. Leave us the Bleep alone. Is it by force? Does Oshimhen actually want to win anything for Nigeria? Because if he does, why is he encouraging players that will actually help him win something to come to a bad, subpar league like the Turkish league? Emmanuel Fernandez, please aim higher. If you go to Turkey, 90 percent of the games you will play will be against English League 1 quality opponents, and you are only in the Champions League to make up the number. You are good enough for a solid, established top 8 team in the top 5 leagues in Europe. Do not waste your talent in that backwater league. |

Well, Cape Verde have done well for themselves. They have 3 draws and 2 of those came against former World Champions in Spain and Uruguay. Are you going to water that down too?? This is not false impression but just simple facts. If you were being completely honest with the stats, you wont put down Iceland and raise France as a comparison when there was literally a powerful Bulgarian team in 1994 that Nigeria did it against. The false impression here is you slyly not being holistic with the facts. Finito. M7even: |

Regarding this life after football, an invesment firm targeting footballers or sports persons should be a lucrative business. Those people are conscious about life after the game so i suspect they are easy to convert once you can give them a better investment strategy. Im sure there are US firms already doing this. Goke7: |

Trabzonspor, Accept abeg. I believe there is a 2Million add ons on top or rather this is a 25-26M + 2-3M add-on bonuses. Nwaiwu and Bassey at the heart of the Fulham Defence would be peak Naija Wall in England. Papi85: |

Amedino99:I agree, and I like how folks like you are thinking. Europe, compared to the US, is such a conservative space, as the system there is set up for people to depend on govt welfare rather than rewarding people for their hard work like the US does. But for punditry and other gigs, many retired players in Europe will struggle to survive; that's why you see players still active later moving to the US league or Saudi Arabia to make up for or prepare for life after the game. What osihmen is earning in Turkey, from what I heard months ago, is almost close to what Messi earns in the US, so like I always say, I won't blame players much for certain decisions we see. |

ChrisKels:Napoli again? Suddenly you have forgotten Osimhen and Kolibauli? |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by ChrisKels: 4:48pm On Jul 03 |
Sugarboyy:The blame is on Osimhen, not Napoli. No matter how much you love a team and their fans, you should always put your career first by signing a favourable contract. Osimhen had no reason rushing the renewal of his contract when he did. Four years at a time. Never extend except it is few months before your contract ends. If they will accept, also have a clause signed that you can leave if a better offer comes, and there also should be a price cap. If Osimhen had things like these in place, he wouldn't have been in that mess. Fulham is good, but I would rather Buike went to Napoli if Napoli puts in a similar offer. I like my players going to the big clubs. |

| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by ChrisKels: 5:01pm On Jul 03 |
Sugarboyy:Osimhen should have learnt from Koulibaly's ordeal to keep himself and his career on a safe side by ensuring those clauses were infused, that's why I said I blame Osimhen for the mess. |

You need to understand what we call Cinderella stories of football. The Bulgaria side of 94' was an example of that. Beating Bulgaria in our opening game was the turning point for Bulgarian football history who up until then have never won a world cup match having participated four (not exactly sure) times before . What they had was a Cinderella story that saw them beat Greece and shocked the world beating Argentina in the final group game. That run saw them reach the semi finals. I'm sure you know there are a host óf teams that have pulled out this sort of stories in football only to disappear after such feat. Greece in Euro 2004, Checzolvakia in Euro 96, Costarica in WC 14', etc. This I believe is more akin to Cape Verde. So nothing extraordinary in Bulgaria of 94 . Again this is no false impression or narratives . This is whole substance. Gracias. TheSuperNerd: |

Papi85:NPFL need real management,a player moved out 6 months ago now attracting a club who are offering €28 million for his services...I can say it anywhere that Nwaiwu of Enyimba is not different from Nwaiwu of Trabzonspor, still the raw guy... different Nwaiwu would be seen in EPL. |
