Very true. I really pity those living with their wives abroad. Their wives turn wild the moment they begin seeing money, whereas their white counterparts aren't moved by marerial things. They love their husbands regardless of their statuses |

Clature:Check those talking hard about woman always, they are frustrated and hopeless guys, those set of people, can't stop girls to woo them in real life, hence ranting always about woman at all time. |

Lol... Na una really know where una dey see all these women dey marry. My wife works and earns good money... has been for years, yet we live blissfully everyday, no form of disrespect. Something must be wrong in many of your marriages, and it can't be all the fault of the women. |

As much as I respect your opinion but I beg to defer. Most men allowed "see finish" and that's the reason for disrespect even broke GF, Wives disrespect their men . "See finish" begin to set in immediately a man expect 50/50 responsibility from his wife, men should be prepared for 100% of the responsibility. Never allow her to have a sense of shared responsibilities (whatever she brings should be a plus ). And men should also learn to be direct providers of care and emotional support to their kids , everything should not be through your wive. Take the kids out yourself buy them clothes, let them know that you pay their school fees.Above all, I love the Korean culture ( a man should have his own house and be financially stable b4 he can be allowed to get married). ![]() |

This man should focus on healthy eating and exercise,he should not give himself high bp or cardiac arrest ontop wetin no concern am. He's wearing a ring though, hopefully he's not married to an African woman. The ease with which he talks down on African women while looking like a sack of garri is ridiculous. I wonder the kind of respect he's talking of? The type where a woman works hard and submits her salary to an efulefu who will sit there waiting to be served hand and foot? Anyone who makes good money automatically becomes allergic to nonsense and most reasonable men do not have these complaints because a reasonable couple sit together and plan their finances. A good man and good woman will generally make it work no matter who the higher earner is. If you make a bad decision and choose a bad spouse, that's on you. Better to drop a dead weight and have peace than die in the name of respect. It's time for men to start respecting themselves though,247 women this and that,Una no De rest? |

[quote author=EmmyMaestro post=139909447]“Once African Women Make Money, The First Person They Disrespect Is Their Husband” – Man stirs reactions with controversial take A Canadian-based Nigerian man has stirred reactions online after sharing his opinion on what men value most in relationships and marriage, claiming that respect is more important than intimacy, food, or any other gesture. According to him, even if a woman becomes the breadwinner of the family, she should never stop respecting her husband, insisting that respect is the foundation of a successful marriage. In his words, he said: “The only thing a man is looking for in a relationship or marriage is respect, even if you’re the breadwinner of the family. Trust me, it’s not intimacy, food, or several other things. That can be arranged.” The man went on to compare African women with Indian and Pakistani women, claiming that many women from those cultures continue to honour their husbands regardless of who earns more in the home. He further alleged that some African women begin to look down on their husbands once they become financially successful, especially when the man experiences financial setbacks. “You’ll see Indian and Pakistani women earning more than their husbands, yet they still respect them. But some African women start disrespecting their husbands once they become successful. If you disrespect your husband, nobody will respect him, not even your children,” he added. His remarks have sparked mixed reactions online, with some agreeing that mutual respect is vital in marriage, while others argued that respect should be earned and should go both ways. The video has continued to generate debate on social media, with Nigerians sharing different opinions on finances, gender roles and respect in modern marriages. a man u can never know if ur wife is part of them until u marry her.mqny woman will hide the disrespect until u finally put a ring.na then ur eyes go clear in most cases. |

franchasng:Why do you think that is though? Could it also have something to do with how the men treat their wives? Maybe the issue isn’t race at all, but differences in relationship dynamics, respect, communication, and expectations. |

90% of women who cheat on their husbands have their own money. When people wonder why women of the past didn't cheat like women of today, I point this fact out. A jobless housewife knows the consequences of cheating and that's why she's loyal. Give that same woman the opportunity to make her own money and see what happens. |

I don’t like blanket statements like this. Some women ? Yeah. Some men too ? Yeah. There are so many respectful Nigerian/african women who have crazy money. Some loud, disrespectful social media savvy broads hiding under the canopy of toxic feminism with small money CANNOT be the basis for hasty generalization of African women |

He shouldn't have generalized, there are still few good ones out there. This is one of the reasons some men don't feel comfortable setting up businesses for their wives, they want them to be full time house wives. I don't think it's a wise decision though, immediately the unexpected happens your children will start suffering from day one. |

Nigerian men want women to remain needy and dependent so they can walk all over her like a doormat. Is that not a form of abuse of power? They say women cannot handle money or power but how do they treat 100% dependent wives with their own money and power? Every accusation is a bleeping confession with these men. For every rubbish they accuse women of, they can do and will do worse! |

Women generally. It is not just African women. Basically, the respect and love they show before they start making their own money is never real. It was simply out of necessity. Once the table turns, they show their true colors. |
