Mujtahida:
A people must conceive of themselves as great to have courage.

This Cape Verde gave it their all.

Look at our match against Morocco. Only Bassey stood as a one man defence wall of Gibraltar against the onslaught of the Moroccan attack.

That's the spirit we want to see from defence to attack.

Fight fight fight. Don't give up. Go for it. Push push.
We need runners as midfielders and wingers! All these waka waka and soft touch no be am!

Exactly, I think that exactly what is lacking in the current SE. Can't remember any world cup game we held Argentina to a draw in 90mins.

They are playing Egypt. Egypt is rather the team in unfamiliar territory. Like Algeria, like Egypt. Argentina is gonna maul them in 90 minutes.

Lawag3:
Argentina are not winning their next match not after this this extra time will have a toll on them

Colombia better not let ghana take them to penalties. Interesting game ahead.

Yes, Argentina were terrible today in terms of their ball progression, but tonight's victory over Cape Verde has shown that they know how to come back against teams that know how to defend. That indeed makes them very very dangerous.

I was thinking the same thing, that if we had to gone to this world cup esp with them relaxing the number of fouls dem dey blow, we would have been utterly disgraced.

My list of Tournament favorites, Darkhorses and Outside force selections have now seen 9 out of 12 advance and three booted OUT.
2 out of the 3 booted out lost to 2 of the 8 that advanced. Inevitable.

4 out of the 9 advanced teams, face each other in the round of 16 (Brazil v Norway & Portugal v Spain) that begins later today with Canada v Morocco.

Argentina survives a huge scare and upset from brave underdogs, Cabo Verde (aka Cape Verde). The Reigning World Champions march on.

Up next from this selection:
Canada vs Morocco (Outside Force) - Round of 16.

Top 5 Favs in no order:
- Spain ✅️
- France ✅️
