Thomas Partey still has the potential to play for a top team if not for the allegations against him. He controls the ball with such confidence and calmness. Still ghana 0-1 Colombia. |

Now this is more like it. You don't sit back after scoring one goal. You keep applying pressure and that's exactly what Colombia have done all through this match. What a team!!! What a player Quintero is as well. Super sub |

This is a terrible Ghana team, and I am not surprised about their abysmal performance. The Ghanaian coach is on something like $120000 a month. Ghanaian journalists and fans must demand an explanation on why Jordan Ayew started every match at this World Cup and why he was on the pitch for 75 minutes today. There must be some deep-rooted corruption going on in the GFA. The condition for appointing that man must be that Jordan Ayew should be undroppable and he must get his minutes. Carlos Quiroz cannot possibly be this bad at coaching. My 10-year-old niece can see how ineffective Jordan Ayew and Inaki Williams were today. Colombia is a significantly better team than Ghana, but Ghana's coach decided to make this game very easy for them with his absolutely boneheaded decisions today. I can never remember the last time I watched a game in which the commentators were essentially almost begging a coach to take out a player. Even the blind can see how completely ineffective Ayew was the whole game. What this man did today should be investigated. |

At the end of the day, Truidstarr's prediction was off by just 2. 2/9 qualified... so his prediction saying 9/9 of the African reps would go home in the RO32 scored 7/9 = 77.8%. But the arbiters of 6 and 7 to qualify, you all were off by 4 and 5 respectively. |

The performances of African teams like Cape Verde 🇨🇻 and DR Congo 🇨🇩 against some of the world’s top teams only reinforce a point I’ve consistently made: World Cup qualifiers and tournaments like AFCON are no longer a walk in the park for the traditional African powerhouses such as Nigeria 🇳🇬, Cameroon 🇨🇲, and others. The gap is closing. More African nations are gaining valuable experience, improving tactically, and competing with greater confidence on the biggest stages. There are no longer any “small teams” in African football. That is why the NFF must stop paying lip service and start taking deliberate, strategic actions. If Nigeria wants to consistently qualify for major tournaments and compete for trophies, we must improve our planning, infrastructure, logistics, and overall football administration. African football has evolved. We must evolve with it. |

Thier Ayew situation is very ridiculous. At least alhaji Musa over here had the decency to stop when his abilities were gone, this one still maintained his stronghold over the team structure. Someone might point out that Ronaldo is also old and still playing but atleast ronaldo has 3 goals in this tournament. This ayew is just useless. The normal thing is for him to resign from the team after this but this guy will be on the team list if they qualify to the next afcon. EElopa: |

EElopa:Otto Addo tried to change things by appointing Kudus as captain, stripping Dede of the armband and finally dropped him . He was heavily criticized, tensions rose within the team, and that likely contributed to Ghana missing out on the last AFCON. He gave in to the pressure, took the captaincy back from Kudus, and appointed Jordan. The problem is from GFA I guess, not the new coach |

Nigeria should be more than ready now ooo, by next year CAF/FIFA world cup draw for the 2030 edition teams the following teams will most likely not be in the seeded top 9 to head their various groups Capeverde(WC experience),Mali,Zambia,B/faso, Madagascar,Benin, Equatorial Guinea,Angola(former WC debutant), Ghana (WC experienced team), SA(WC experienced team),Gabon. They kno how to play and rugged qualifier, they just simply wanna go to the world and complete 3group stage matches plus the glorified group stage match So one of these guys is likely to be the second seeded team in our group.....So we have to b ready for before next for these rising African teams. NFF pls let us reclaim our world cup birthright plssssssss, we need to be in Spain/Portugal/Morocco 2030. And make them put our matches for Spain/Portugal so that boys fit find way enter Luxembourg,Switzerland,Norway,Amsterdam😀🙂 |

So far in this world cup Cape verde is the most solid African side…They were so unlucky to be in a very tight group and their path to the final is so crunchy. Imagine drawing 3world champions in 90mins 1934 world cup winners Uruguay 2-2 (90mins) 2010 world cup champions 0-0 Spain (90mins) 2022 world cup winners 1-1 Argentina (90mins) No African team faced such test -Morocco have only faced one world cup champions Brazil 1-1 in 90mins, if they win Canada they will most likely face France in Qarter final…make we dey see -Senegal played only one former world champions and lost 3-1 to them in 90mins (France) -CIV played only one former world champions and lost 2-1 to them in 90mins (Germany) -DRC played only one former world champions and lost 2-1 to them in 90mins (England) -Algeria played only one former world champions and lost 3-1 to them in 90mins (Argentina) -Ghana played only one former world champions and drew 0-0 with Zero shot on target building tower of babel at the back in 90 mins🤣🤣🤣(England) Tunisia did not play any former world champions, swallowed 12goals in 3matches Egypt did/have not faced any world champions, we will see them in few days against Argentina in round 16🤣🤣…na those kind North America Argentina dey use catch cruise. SA did not play any former world champions In summary, my verdict is that Capeverde would have advanced if they had met Norway,Belgium,Australia in r32 |
