That Tani Oluwaseyi chance on 10mins following a quick Canadian attacking transition was so close to being a goal if not for Bounou.
Bounou misses that save and Canada would have gone 1-0 up. My Maroc escaped there.

Subsequent games after a previous game ended in extra time will always take its toll as body no be firewood.

Kaaaiii... Saibari OUT injured. And in comes Rahimi. That is a blow to Morocco's attacking bite uptop.

And I literally said this @emboldened below..
"Even Rahimi is preferred off the bench to ElKaabi. So na tactical change of direction in the CF dept."

Cc AndsunGorilla, see? Ouahbi proving me right again. El Kaabi has indeed fallen down the CF pecking order for My Maroc.
What about their striker in Fenerbache, is he injured or just not on the roster?

Canada Morocco set to be first eliminator for the quarter finals. If Morocco don’t step up they may be going home even if game ends in penalty shootout

En nesyri? Was not even called up for the WC squad for technical reasons. He was not injured.

Maybe we've been overrating this Morocco team. Canada are bullying them.

Inexperience and zero killer instinct. Very lethargic team.

Jesse needs to bring on Alphonso Davies. He may not be 100% fit but his pace is still a fear factor and will keep Hakimi at bay.

Why is Jesse Marsch looking like he has given up 😃

Commentator: I think Michael Oliver has refereed this game rather poorly so far.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 7:39pm On Jul 04
En Nesyri is not at this WC. That is Talbi. Amrabat just subbed on, yes. That is his role now, a sub for other MFs.

Modified: Your sentence read like him and Amrabat came on. I see now you meant just Amrabat.

AndSunGorilla:
Yes him.and Amrabat is on now.

Morocco are about to become the FIRST African team to reach back to back WC quarterfinals
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 7:44pm On Jul 04
Morocco has unusually not taking a lots of shots in this game. Just 2 shots and both were on target. Very unlike their previous 4 games at this WC.

A 🆕️ flex.

Only that sadly... that may be the busstop My Maroc alights at. But until then... I am just glad they proved my prediction of another Quarters said months ago, right.

They have been selectively clinical today.

3 shots, all on target... 2 goals. That is clinical execution. Near 100%.

Yeah game over. Morocco isn't Senegal to lose a 2 goal lead and Canada isn't Belgium or Cabo Verde.

Morocco’s Ounahi becomes the second African to score 2+ goals in a WC knockout match, since Henry Camara’s double against Sweden at the 2002 WC round of 16 😎😮‍💨

Canada trying to play a high line and Morocco absolutely hitting them with scary counter attacks.

Very hilarious 😂
