Morocco are also 3 mins away from becoming the FIRST African team to keep multiple (3) clean sheets in WC knockout matches

In fact, they are the ONLY African team to record a WC knockout match clean sheet
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by mrwilliams9(m): 8:00pm On Jul 04
Morocco is currently 1A when it comes to CAF, leave am.

2022 WC - SF
2023 AFCON - Ro16
2025 AFCON - Finalist
2026 WC - QF (could be more)

That is consistency, moreover, they have the talent pipeline and well functioning FA.

The news I heard about the Senegalese FA bringing unneeded guests as part of the WC delegation shows me there is still a lot of work for some of our African FAs

Brilliant. Henri Camara that nearly ended us at Afcon 2000 in Lagos. before Aghahowa came to the rescue.

PDPGuy:
Morocco’s Ounahi becomes the second African to score 2+ goals in a WC knockout match, since Henry Camara’s double against Sweden at the 2002 WC round of 16 😎😮‍💨

Hatewatching Morocco is meaningless at this point. The important thing is we can see the progress being made with their football. Even if they lose to France, I don't think it would be an outright collapse like it has been for Subsaharan African teams so far. France are a monstrous team anyway.

Morocco have serious, future focused administrators. This World Cup isn't even the real deal for them. Winning it or not wouldn't even matter that much. They're just using it to prepare for the one they're hosting in 2030. Look at the young guys they're ushering in like Bouaddi and the likes. These are the ones who will lead the charge come 2030.

That's a country that's serious about making progress in their football.

Nigeria though? Lmao....

It seems folks forget Morocco also beat Canada at the 2022 World Cup. Canada don become WC wife. Lol
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by mrwilliams9(m): 8:05pm On Jul 04
I actually like this expanded WC a bit. I think it shows just how much an achievement it is to even make the QFs. Now you have to win at least 2 KO matches to make the QFs

I never liked those 16 nation tournaments. You come out of your group and you’re already in QFs. The main thing was qualification in those 16 nation tourneys.

Naija we have work to do sha. We’ve never actually won a KO match at the WC.

It was well evident from their last match. Funny how SA believed that their record against Morroco would give them the upper hand against this team if they had beaten Canada. At least we were spared of that big drubbing on the world stage. No need for the world to see one african team beating another one mercilessly on the world stage.

Inexperience and zero killer instinct. Very lethargic team.

France and Paraguay loading. If Paraguay can hold France to a goalless draw then penalty shootout maybe there hope 😂

Those 16 nations no be beans sha, most of the time. The worst team in an average 16 team tournament back then was still a potential dark horse. Lol.

Unlike now where supposed pipes and minnows full everywhere.

That being said, the only good thing about this expansion for me is the exposure of smaller teams to elite football, which is the whole point I guess.

Don't mind those SA clowns. The way they consistently delude themselves dazzles me. The way they hype themselves, you'd think they won the last three AFCONs back to back and haven't lost a competitive game in years.

I wish we met them this last AFCON during the peak of our Eric Chelle SE knockout run, especially with that nonsense they played against Cameroon. That's one of my only regrets from this last AFCON. Walai we for paste them 5-0. Facts.

Nope i want France to violate whatever dignity Paraguay still has left. One of their Legend Chilavert recently said this France team is basically an african nation as against the team he played against in 1998 which funny enough had desailly, thuram, viera and henry. Let the "african" team show his country pepper.
