King David committed murder, covetousness and adultery in the Bible but God forgave him when he repented. Also the people of Nineveh, that Jonah was sent to, repented and we're forgiven without any blood! So why can't God forgive Adam for his disobedience and others today if they repent? |

God doesn't exist |

AntiChristian:There is action and reaction (equal and opposite). Nineveh was later destroyed (in another generation). David suffered at the hands of his own son (Absalom). All his poor decisions had negative repercussions for him and people around him. Do not be deceived. God is not mocked. Whatever you sow, you shall reap! (Galatians 6:7-8 ) |

AntiChristian:You are lying David was punished for his sins and Nineveh was probably a good place before they started sinning hence they got a warning that punishment was coming if they don't change. Same thing for Adam who was even specially warned. So, many things go into the exercise of the prerogative of mercy |

AntiChristian:You mean the same god that planted the tree and gave the serpent access to the garden? How can he forgive Adam when his plan was to set him up for failure? That's like asking why bandits can't stop terrorising people. |

AntiChristian:Adam sinned against the holy spirit and such sin is unforgivable! Matthew 12:31-32 Before God created Eve Adam was lonely {Genesis 2:18} and when God made Eve Adam rejoice greatly he even became a poet instantly to show his heartfelt gratitude for the precious gift! Genesis 2:23 compare to Proverbs 18:22 So how did his own sin differ from that of all other people? First of all unlike all other humans who are learned from the mouth of angels or mouth to mouth instructors called prophets God is the one instructing Adam directly like a father talking to his son {Luke 3:38} but none of us has seen God at any point in time {John 1:18} so when Adam disobeyed God he had no excuse which most humans today have as there are thousands of different sources of information all claiming they are God's mouthpiece. Secondly after Adam committed that blunder he never accepted his error instead he put the blame on God saying it's God's fault for giving him a wife! Genesis 3:10-12 Lastly the motive behind his action also needs to be considered. Adam knew that in a short time humans will fill the planet {Genesis 1:28} so he wanted to become like God to all other humans so even though Eve was deceived that they will become immortal after eating the forbidden fruit Adam wasn't he just wanted to play smart thinking if he die it's God's lost after all it's God who wanted worshipers on earth therefore if God kill him that purpose will be shattered. 1Timothy 2:14 So God declared in Adam's presence that humans will surely live forever on this planet but unlike Adam they will be OBEDIENT humans. Moreover if God destroy Adam instantly he will not see the promise becoming a reality so when God accepted Abel's offering both Adam, Eve and Cain got the message that Abel surely is the beginning of that generation of faithful loyal and obedient descendants of man one that will inherit God's everlasting blessings {Hebrews 11:4} and live forever on planet earth! Psalms 37:29 |

Dtruthspeaker:I am lying. Tell us what was David's punishment for killing Uriah? For Adultery? For Covetousness? Nineveh was warned and they changed. They were forgiven without anyone dying for them. Why can't Adam be warned too so he can ask for forgiveness? |
| Re: Why Can't God Just Forgive Anyone Who Sins? by AntiChristian(op): 10:08am On Jul 08 |
HeatSeeker:So that generation was still forgiven. David suffered at the hands of his own son (Absalom). All his poor decisions had negative repercussions for him and people around him.Are you saying David's suffering at the hands of his son the punishment for his murder, covetousness and adultery? |

AntiChristian:In case you want to pretend that you did not see it, see some of them here. "And David's anger was greatly kindled against the man; and he said to Nathan, As the Lord liveth, the man that hath done this thing shall surely die: 6 And he shall restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing, and because he had no pity. 7 And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul;... 9 Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the Lord, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon. 10 Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife. 11 Thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.... He as a neighbour, bleeped someone's wife in secret, God punished him by making sure his wives were bliped in the open, which you know is even one of the worst things that can happen to a married man. AntiChristian:Did you you not see and read that Adam was Warned? |
| Re: Why Can't God Just Forgive Anyone Who Sins? by AntiChristian(op): 1:18pm On Jul 18 |
Dtruthspeaker:Are you saying God used more killings, adultery and fornication to punish David's adultery and murder? ![]() Did you you not see and read that Adam was Warned? There's no fairness at all in the Bible's lens of judgement. Why can't Adam just be forgiven? When Judah slept with his daughter in law who pretended like a LovePeddler and got pregnant, where was Yahweh to punish them both? But Onan was killed for spilling the seeds! His brother was also killed for disobidience. |

AntiChristian:➜David attained the status of righteous man of YHWH of Israel - man after YHWH's own heart - meeting YHWH's criteria for blessings in the Law of Moses, and hence had the guarantee of YHWH of Israel's forgiveness of sins. ➜ Assyria, of which Nineveh was a part, was under no national covenant of righteousness with YHWH of Israel Stop blindly comparing apples and heavy machinery! YHWH of Israel only does for men that which He promised according to His contract with those to whom He made His promise. He isn't under an obligation to do more than that or for anyone else, according to their private delusions. ![]() |

AntiChristian:Does The Law not say an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, which every reasonable person has called very Just, Fair and Right? Therefore, as he murdered, murder entered his house and as he adulteried someone's wife, so did they adultery his wife. Just is served. And that is what God is reserving for you and when the time comes, you would eat it without fail. Continue |

| Re: Why Can't God Just Forgive Anyone Who Sins? by Kobojunkie: 5:20pm On Jul 18 |
AntiChristian:1. Huh?? ![]() 2. That is probably because you think fairness should be judged through your particular eyes and mind, and not as stipulated right there in the Law of Moses. 😒 3. If you read the Law which was given to Adam, you would note that forgiveness was not mentioned in the clause. Your insistence that forgiveness should exist when it was never stipulated suggests a lack of understanding of agreements/covenants/laws.😒 4. What was the punishment stipulated by the law in existence at the time of the event in question? 😒 |

Kobojunkie:When Adam and Eve disobeyed weren't they punished? So why do their descendant need to inherit their sin while i won't inherit my own father's sins now? 3. If you read the Law which was given to Adam, you would note that forgiveness was not mentioned in the clause. Your insistence that forgiveness should exist when it was never stipulated suggests a lack of understanding of agreements/covenants/laws.😒That's unfair! Using different strokes for different folks! 4. What was the punishment stipulated by the law in existence at the time of the event in question? 😒It is death! God killed Er the first son for wickedness. Isn't it more than wickedness to sleep with your daughter-in-law or to commit adultery? |

Kobojunkie:Nineveh was to be destroyed but YHWH did forgave them and didn't destroy them just because they repented by following the Prophet Jonah sent to them! It is not only Israel God sent people to! The word of the Lord came to Jonah son of Amittai: “Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it, because its wickedness has come up before me.” Jonah 1:1-2 Then the word of the Lord came to Jonah a second time: “Go to the great city of Nineveh and proclaim to it the message I give you. ” Jonah 3:1-2 When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not bring on them the destruction he had threatened. Jonah 3:10 It is clear the people of Nineveh repented without the shedding of any human/animal blood! Did they need Jesus's blood to be saved from YHWH's wrath? No! They called unto God and repented! |
| Re: Why Can't God Just Forgive Anyone Who Sins? by Dtruthspeaker: 3:40pm On Jul 20 |
AntiChristian:The law is an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. So If you give evil, The Law MUST serve you the ivu back evil for evil |
| Re: Why Can't God Just Forgive Anyone Who Sins? by Kobojunkie: 4:00pm On Jul 20 |
AntiChristian:Stop with the usual deflecting! Forgiveness is not Righteousness! What gave David an out was Righteousness, not forgiveness of sins on its own. And as I previously explained, the nation of Nineveh was under no known righteousness pact that it would be spared destruction should it sin again. ![]() Kobojunkie:David was a righteous man of Israel, and the guarantee given by the YHWH of Israel to the righteous ones in His Law of Moses was that He, YHWH of Israel, would never leave nor forsake them. ![]() |

AntiChristian:1. Where did you read this claim that their descendants inherited their sins from? 😒😒 2. Adam was created a perfect man from his beginning; the Israelites were created imperfect from their beginning. Why do you assume fairness in this case would imply giving the same conditions to each group? Do you give the same exam to those in Kindergarten as you do those in Primary Six? Do you use words without properly processing the meaning of what you say? 😒😒 3. WHERE is this law written? Who was it given to? 😒 Also, if the son is dead, how is it adultery when she no longer had a husband at the time? I remind you again that, according to you, her husband was dead at the time. 😒 |

Kobojunkie:Paul - Romans 5:12-21, 1 Corinthians 15:21-22 then Psalm 51:5. 2. 😒😒A perfect man won't sin. Biblically is the one who was said to be perfect and didn't sin. Adam wasn't in KG class while Jesus in SSS. He wasn't thought how to repent nor was he given a chance to! While others are forgiven for sins they committed, he wasn't forgiven. Adam wasn't given much to turn back like others. Compare Adam to a Christian today who can repent or just believe in Jesus and the sins are washed away... 3. WHERE is this law written? Who was it given to? 😒Where was the law written to be killed for wickedness? Where was the law written to be killed for spilling seminal fluids? And it was clearly their culture for the next brother to marry the widow of his deceased brother. So she was bethroted already! |

Kobojunkie:Where is the deflection? The topic has always been "Why Can't God Just Forgive Anyone Who Sins"? And i have been able to show YHWH did forgave many without shedding of any blood like Christians now claim! The people of Nineveh were a great example. But if the wicked man turns from all the sins he has committed, keeps all My statutes, and does what is just and right, he will surely live; he will not die. Ezekiel 18:21 |

| Re: Why Can't God Just Forgive Anyone Who Sins? by Kobojunkie: 1:03pm On Jul 21 |
AntiChristian:1. Stop deflecting! Where did you read this claim that their descendants inherited their sins from? ![]() 2. Where is it written that a perfect man won't sin? 😒 3. You tell me.. You are the one here concluding those are sins, and I am asking you where those sins are stated. 😒 4. Are you insinuating that sin is defined by culture and not Law? 😒 |
| Re: Why Can't God Just Forgive Anyone Who Sins? by AntiChristian(op): 5:24am On Jul 22 |
Kobojunkie:Yes! The people of Nineveh were wicked in YHWH's sight! It seems you don't read! Stop parading yourself as a know all please! I have sent this earlier! The word of the Lord came to Jonah son of Amittai: “Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it, because its wickedness has come up before me.” Jonah 1:1-2 |
| Re: Why Can't God Just Forgive Anyone Who Sins? by Kobojunkie: 5:40am On Jul 22 |
AntiChristian:Ezekiel 18 vs 21 which you formerly quoted specifically states that the law in question applied only to Israelites, to be exact. The entire context of Ezekiel 18 vs 1 - 21 traces back to the Law of Moses, when it specifically mentions that the punishment for sins would reach to the fourth or fifth generation of the Israelites. ![]() 2. Why didn't you repost from Ezekiel 18 this time around? You finally corrected yourself, I see! As I already stated, the laws that apply to nations are different from those that apply to men, as you hopefully now see. A nation like Nineveh can be forgiven for a period but ultimately destroyed since there is no guarantee provided to nations. However, for men who can attain righteousness. ![]() |
| Re: Why Can't God Just Forgive Anyone Who Sins? by AntiChristian(op): 6:23am On Jul 22 |
Kobojunkie:I only see resemblance in the laws for Israel and Nineveh! And this proves YHWH does not care only for Israel but for Nineveh too! At least we agree He sent Jonah to preach to them! What does preaching entails? That counts as something! Just as YHWH sent Moses, John the baptist and others to people or nations, He sent Jonah to preach to Nineveh! And ultimately everyone will still be destroyed. Wasn't the Israel of YHWH later scattered too? |
