We should know our fate at the end of this week Yeah? Sorry this is the only community I know off, that has people actively waiting for Trump to call off the Ban. However, Trump looks like he's more concerned with the impact of the Iran war, and calling it off. I just hope The Nigerian Government is able to make a Good case for us. Lmao both the US Government and the Nigerian Government are not even saying anything 😂😂 |

TaxLawyer:so, even folks with full funding are not getting approved? nawa oo.. and they just released education USA ofp application, I wonder what the plan is |

gray00:There are many unofficial contradictory posts regarding your question. What i usually tell applicants is to use their logic and the little education they have. The U.S embassy said temporary ban but some people are posting total ban consequences. If the situation is total ban no school in tbe US will open their admission portal to Nigerians and U.S embassy in Nigeria Will close up temporarily but open visa service to only top govt. officials. B1/B2 applicants have been placed on visa bond payment if they qualified for the visa so its same logic for F1 to apply if you are going for genuine purpose. The only expectation is that you Will face rigorous background vetting. |

PhdCloakRoom:Can you just stop going around saying nonsense? You basically spew nonsense on this thread. Just stop ✋ 🛑 There is no collaboration between the schools and the white house. Schools can recruit students from anywhere in the world. They would never not consider Nigerian students, moreover alot of people with admissions due for September 2026 in the USA applied before the ban was placed on Nigerian. Some even had their admissions already, some were in the process of their I-20 when the ban took effect. Its just of recent that some schools are not even considering Nigerian students now, because they are like; if we give you the admission there is no way for you to resume. You would be turned back at the POE Why? Cos Trump banned Nigerians from entering. The Visa bond was placed on some other countries not only Nigeria, so get your facts right. Placing a visa bond for tourism travels doesnt eliminate the visa ban proclamation. The visa ban can only be revoked by another proclamation stating that the visa ban is no longer in effect. So please shut up and lets see front. And stop jumping around spewing nonsense. |

| Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 18 by PhdCloakRoom(m): 11:26am On Jun 26 |
TaxLawyer:You are ranting on personal idea. Your rant does not carry any official links. Trump banned Nigerians from entering or Trump ban your friend or a family member from entering? I know lot of Nigerians who have entered and back without issue so i dont know where you get your official stand. Stop misleading people. Mention 5 schools out of 5,000 US Universities that have closed portals to Nigerians. |
| Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 18 by PhdCloakRoom(m): 11:38am On Jun 26 |
TaxLawyer:👆 You have contradicted yourself above and it shows that you are spreading your personal illusion. At least students would be given the visa before they are turned back at the POE right ? Post the official links for public to read where any school posted that they wont consider Nigerians for admission because they might be turned back at POE . |

snoopy:well, the wait is till June 30 to 1st week of July, if the proclamation is changed for Nigerian f1 applicants, great. If not, anyone that wants to still go ahead to try is free to do so |

snoopy:Good of you. You can now look out for old enemies when your personal thinking is not working out. If you like start attacking me with different accounts and call me any names. Nairaland is not an alumni platform for some set of old and stagnant people. |

Morning all, please any hotel address (cheap) close to Lagos airport |
| Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 18 by PhdCloakRoom(m): 1:45pm On Jun 29*. Modified: 8:24am On Jun 30 |
Chemist4life:Use Google to do the search it should be easier and after getting the list you can call the hotel desk for deeper enquiry. I dont know where you are coming from but 7 & 8 bus stop (coming from mile 2, Badagry, Cele express, Igando - Ikotun) , Mafoluku (oshodi) , Ire akari estate and Ikeja are all closer but my pick would be 7/8 bus stop . Dont focus on cheap hotels focus on hotel with security of your life and safety of your baggages and bcareful of people referring hotels for you (they may visit you via networking 😎). When you have your money lodging in an hotel especially in Lagos is an easy task. |

Good evening I’m a dentist currently looking for opportunities to get a fully funded scholarship for my masters in the US. I would appreciate any ideas of schools to look into and how to go about it. Thank you in advance |
| Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 18 by PhdCloakRoom(m): 10:21pm On Jul 04 |
mhiztee:Google Universities in the U.S and start sending enquiry email to the graduate admissions office in your department. Explain your over all cgpa, work experiences and other educational feats you possessed that will interest such departments or a possible professor. How to go about the admission is not hard if you can start this thread from the earlier pages. U.S. schools are flexible and accessible. They will reply you. |

PhdCloakRoom:You got another ID and start this same meaningless and derailing activities? This ID and other will be gone if you keep doing this. Don't think you are smart by getting another ID |

justwise:What's the point of completing applications when you know that you won't be given a student visa when admitted except you hold a dual citizenship?. I feel it's meaningless. |

isArray:Looks like the anchor baby loophole has been reduced to the minimum. The USA was never known as a major tourist destination. Considering the growth of the economy and steady boom, this is inconsequential
