Brazil is so ordinary now that just any team can defeat them in a competitive match.
The same with Nigeria if not for the coming of Chelle, ours is better because is not for lack of talent but administrative and managerial problems.

For now,no minor can mess up with us without getting hammered, the likes of DR Congo and Cape Verde cannot be considered to be minors anymore
Yeaa true

Now the Belgian federation has released this statement.
I wonder what precedence it will set.
Kudos the the Belgian FA.
It's indeed a wrong precedent.
First Canada refused a player entry.
Now US got a red card suspension.
Tomorrow, it will be result cancelation.

Problem is not even that FIFA rescinded the suspension, but for allowing Trump to influence the course of it.

Trump is a joker, his second coming have been only but trouble

FIFA allowed itself to be bullied it’s obvious they no longer have control over the game from visa denials to match officiating!

And it's possible for them to finish top 3 if they survive Belgium and Portugal knocks out Spain.

Trump always runs his mouth way too much,as if he is the president of the world.

So FIFA will now have to make decisions in order to please him

💣〽️‼️ Sadio Mané and Kalidou Koulibaly clashed during the World Cup. The absence of Malang Sarr caused a divide between the two Senegal stars. Mané wanted Sarr included in the team, while Koulibaly was against the idea.

On the eve of France vs Senegal, Mané felt Koulibaly, who had arrived carrying a fitness issue, was not fully fit and suggested Malang Sarr should start in his place. Since then, tensions between the two senior players have intensified.

Portugal vs Spain? More like Cristiano Ronaldo vs his former neighbors. I foresee penalty shootout to end this game and Portugal to prevail. .

It's going to be a very keenly contested close match. I expect the team that scores the most to win.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by M7eve: 7:44pm On Jul 06
Baba, we can't host today again. The last time we hosted a tournament of significance was the 2009 FIFA world cup. You know the most spectacular reason for that , it was the year Boko Haram was just starting in Nigeria, the following year, they carried out their first bombing in Nigeria, and ever since them insecurity has been entrenched in our society.

The media and the people will always cry. Even Mexico had logistics problem up till a couple of weeks before world cup. Morocco had a protest before they hosted the last African cup where the citizens complained about economic hardship. So for media complaining it is quite normal. But with insecurity it is totally different
Goke7:
Truth is we can host as our insecurity now is mostly in rural areas and not in cities that will host the matches.

The major issue is the media and how we project ourselves as a country. Many will also argue it’s a waste of public funds when many are hungry
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by M7eve: 7:50pm On Jul 06
We can always build . But then we have a poor maintenance culture. I remember abuja was bidding to host common wealth games. I wonder what came out of that. I guess we lost the bid. And frankly speaking I wasn't surprised about that.
NasirIbnLaAhad:
What have we ever hosted besides youth tournaments in the past 20 years? And it honestly boggles my mind how some of you keep glossing over the fact that FIFA's hosting bar has risen sharply since Nigeria's biggest tournaments (2009 U-17 World Cup, for instance). Recent bids have shown the scale now expected. How many FIFA accredited stadiums does Nigeria have today? Just one, and that's the one in Uyo. Or you think Uyo alone can host an entire CHAN tournament, not to talk of AFCON? Citing past hosting experience without accounting for that gap in scale is comparing apples to oranges.

Anyway, my main focus was your framing of media as the problem of Nigeria hosting. Arguing that the media is ruining our hosting prospects is only tenable for image problems, not for engineering and logistical ones. FIFA and CAF inspectors don't file match reports off public sentiments. They will physically walk through your stadiums and check your pitch quality, floodlights, changing rooms, hotel capacity, road networks, airport logistics etc etc. If the infrastructure fails, no amount of "good PR" changes what an inspector notes down about your facilities.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by M7eve: 7:56pm On Jul 06
The state govt. of Uyo have been crying about the high cost of maintenance of this stadium. I really wonder how much the state government budgets for this that they feel can be utilized else where. If they do hand over the contract to maintain the stadium to another company I wonder how that will work out. Plus I believe the government gets good revenue from football tourism
cos on every matchdays hotels will be bóoked. As well as other social incentives, before the end of the year the SE might play three times there.

minfelix:
NSC/NFF/Federal Government should give us atleast 3/4 Uyos across the federation so we can host tournaments

Tick tock.... tick tock... tick tock... ⏳️

A big battle. A clash of 2 of my Pre-tournament top 5 favorites and 2 of my overall 12 top sides selections of favs, darkhorses and outside force.

I tip Spain to win this classic but we will see whether the football gods agree with me or not pertaining this one game involving one of the G.O.A.Ts.

Till then....
It begins....

Akwa Ibom state gov cannot fold it's hands and wait only for SE games.
They should lobby to host National sports festival, athletics meet and the likes.

What about the Playoff final itself?

I hope the whole world sees that such will never happen at a Euros or Afcon tournament. A red card is automatic suspension for the next game no matter the stage. The Balogun incident is a first and Infantino just made a mess of one of Football's surest rules.

Trump and US obviously has him by the balls so nothing surprising anyway.

Morocco is very close to eclipsing our all time Fifa ranking of 5th.

The Naija SE need to get very serious about our football again. U-17, U-20, Olympics and the NT.

We have to get back to WINNING. Not just getting far in tournaments.
