Wow seems stanbic mmf withdrawal is now super fast like first ally. By 3:00am i made a withdrawal and by 3:07am it has landed. I’m impressed

It’s GT fund Managers. I didn’t know it would be like this, else I would have just made a normal withdrawal and buy MMF.

I don’t know if it’s a glitch from their end or this is how it usually takes time.
I have seen posts of people complaining GT fund equity withdrawal taking longer time. Maybe they are experiencing some withdrawal issues for equity. I don't think it has anything to do with the direct withdrawal from equity to mmf.

Is first ally mmf still good for consideration?.....I am in the process of opening an account

Right. They have made withdrawal instant. One of the reason i am still sticking around them despite their bad rate.
Re: Mutual Funds by AncestralPowers: 8:54am On Jul 07
Lol... It is better to have a good and competitive rate, with few hours/days delay whenever you want to withdraw your money, than this low rate stanbic is giving with instant withdrawal.

MMF withdrawals too take much more longer. Been waiting for a withdrawal to land since last week Wednesday

Thank you so much.
It is very frustrating honestly. I regret investing with them. The most annoying part is that they are neither picking their calls nor responding to mails.

The rate, 17.55% today, is quite competitive.

Unless they have other issues, I would say go ahead.

Made a minor withdrawal from GT MMF, it was almost instant. May depend on the amount or they were just on their best behaviour.

Top 5?

Because of:
- Rate?
- Withdrawal speed (T+1/2)?
- App experience?
- etc

Re: Mutual Funds by AncestralPowers: 5:38am On Jul 08
Yeah, Stanbic rate on mmf is a complete shit, in about 3 months time, it is going to be one year since stanbic had been battling around 15%+ on their mmf rate, now imagine you have over 50m+ naira with them, earning 15%+ almost a year, then calculate having same amount with other fund managers with better rates of over 17+, the differences are gonna make you cry as if someone poured hot water on you...

Stanbic swift withdrawal process at the moment is exactly how things are supposed to work out whenever you need your money, but because our system is so messed up with inefficiency, we often see such normal processes as God working miracles and wonders.

With other fund managers with better interest rates, but slower withdrawing process, just try to always initiate your fund withdrawing process days/weeks before you gonna urgently need your money...

I made a minor withdrawal too. Under 50k, I use Cowrywise for all that but I recently made a new GTB account so I just decided to test the entire platform.

Doesn’t seem like I’d be moving my money from Cowrywise to them. But it would have been great if I could see the whole investment and bank balance in one single app

Is the app withdrawal limit still 5M?
Re: Mutual Funds by Elui2(m): 11:37am On Jul 08
Pls why is stanbic( both bluenest and the app) telling me I have insufficient funds when I try to withdraw again after successfully withdrawing 5M.

They keep telling insufficient balance while I have enough money in there.

Did you wait till the following day to initiate another withdrawal? Daily withdrawal limit is 5M.

And you also need to keep some change in there to keep the account active. Either 2k or 5k. I'm not sure about the exact amount.

Yea. I totally get it. That was also why I on boarded.... visualise everything at once.

It doesn't always work well...these banks🌚

Recently diversified into First Ally and ARM though.

15.07% today 🌚

But when you initiate a withdrawal days weeks in advance, wouldn't you stop earning (on that amount) while the process is ongoing?

Sadly, the inefficiencies in the system will always bottleneck things.
