This Mr valwezzy deactivating his account confirms that he’s a scam. It’s funny how one can choose to ruin reputation cos of 10$😂. He sent me a pm days ago on my WhatsApp asking if i can receive 10$ paypal, the money is too low and I don’t trade such amount, he kept messaging me, being a new supplier which I believe might have a better deal next time, I had to agree and trade with him. I used a Kenya info and I clearly stated it should be fnf and not gns, also being a 30 min info, I told him to comply with time limit and shouldn’t send less down 10$ charges excluded.
He sent it, I gave him 600/$ rate, my recipient couldn’t confirm on time, this guy kept ‘ ’ me for payment, I sent him the 6k, thinking his payment has gone through , besides I felt the money is too low to lose breath on, later, the recipient refunded the payment because it’s not fnf and he sent below 10$( charges included with the 10$)I sent this guy screenshot demanding why he failed to follow instructions .
Walai this one no reply again o , he blocked me, he stopped picking calls. I was initially asking him to confirm the refund and send my 6k or we try new trade.


So how did I know it’s this particular moniker?
Naturally if a strange number texts me for trade on WhatsApp, 99% of time
It’s either from a referral , twitter or nairaland , and my instinct reminds me that I’ve come across this name( mrwezzy) before , I kept digging until I found a valwezzy, so I quoted his post ( it was a gamble actually, I wasn’t sure it’s same person), so this morning I discovered the moniker has deactivated his account. Can you connect the dots now?

One thing every crypto investor in Nigeria must understand — especially if you're moving USDT or any stablecoin — is the difference between TRC-20 and ERC-20 networks. Many people have lost money simply because they ignored this.

TRC-20 is the TRON blockchain network. ERC-20 is the Ethereum blockchain network. Both can carry USDT, but they are completely different roads. Sending USDT via ERC-20 to an address that only accepts TRC-20 is like sending money to the wrong bank entirely — your funds can get lost or stuck.

Here is why this matters for us in Nigeria practically:

1. TRANSACTION FEES (GAS): ERC-20 fees can be $5–$30 depending on network congestion. TRC-20 fees are almost nothing — sometimes less than $1. For small transfers, ERC-20 will eat your profit.

2. SPEED: TRC-20 transactions confirm in seconds. ERC-20 can take minutes or even longer when Ethereum is busy.

3. EXCHANGE SUPPORT: Most Nigerian P2P platforms and local exchanges support TRC-20 USDT because it is cheaper and faster. Always check before you withdraw.

4. WALLETS: If you use Trust Wallet, Binance, or OKX — always confirm which network your recipient supports. The address format alone cannot tell you which network to use.

BOTTOM LINE: For everyday naira-to-crypto and crypto-to-naira transactions in Nigeria, TRC-20 is your best friend — it is cheap, fast, and widely accepted. Use ERC-20 only when specifically required.

Never assume. Always confirm the network before you hit SEND. One wrong click and your USDT is gone into the void.

Cautious optimism still on going but sadly, volume is dropping.

Since volume precedes price, it's really not a good new.

A follow up to my BTC update.

I still maintain that this is a cautious optimism market. We need sustainable volume to move the market but what I have seen so far in the past days is volume swing in for a quick pump and dump and move out. Overall the market is still fearful and scared money don't make no money.

If it remains this way — a painful consolidation or a pull back is likely.
