I never knew Switzerland were capable of holding Colombia to this extent. Well done to them.

Quintero has come on as a sub; that's a possible game changer right there.

The last person to touch the ball was Salah before he DELIBERATELY tripped Salah to gain possession. Notwithstanding, you don't trip a player to gain advantage. THAT WAS A CLEAR FOUL. A day light robbery.
No, the last boot on the ball was Alvarez. Watch it again, Alvarez got the ball of him (why you see the ball behind Salah and you see him trying to turn).

Interpretation may differ but not the facts. The ball was off Salah's feet by a CLEAN TACKLE

Make una head to tribunal or appeal court. 😂😂

On serious note, we sometimes should say things without bias. Like how TF was that Alvarez incidence on Salah a penalty? How please?
Even the Egyptians and Salah didn't protest.

It is Senegal that is deserving of flogging not Egypt. The momentum was never with Egypt. Yes they could have held on but it is not like Senegal's match where they relinquished their momentum and became wussies

Watch again. Alvarez touch the ball but still bounced off Salah's foot and he was still at advantage to get the ball. Notwithstanding, did he kick Salah's leg or not?

Who told you they didn't protest? Why did he give red and yellow cards?

Tomorrow someone will say they are not World Cup material. The euro zone qualification for the World Cup is not a tea party anyone who qualifies is a decent team, same as the South America zone!

How are you at an advantage to get a ball behind you?

Like I said interpretation may differ. He didn't kick. Salah tripped up trying to turn by a leg (same leg that won the ball) not on the ground.

Alveraz was still behind Saleh before he tripped him and the last person to touch the ball was Salah. How was that no a foul? The point is, DID HE KICKED HIM. Yes or No? DID HIS LEG HINDERDED SALAH? Yes or No?

The thing with Switzerland is that they always find a way to disappoint but in this game they've been very impressive. They actually outplayed Colombia towards the end of the match and that's not easy to do.

Egypt had the momentum and Argentina were clueless an had to rely on 100 crosses into the Egyptian box. It worked. That's where Portugal were dumb. I wish Egypt had a Yaya Toure to ensure the argies were pinned back in their own half. The Egyptians were content with the counter attacks and not control so they left the midfield for Argentina. Argentina didn't even press Egypt off ball. And that's where everything about "the part you can control" irks me. The other part was the influence of officiating.

Hence

Mo Salah last World Cup
Luka Modric last World Cup

Who's next

Neymar and Ronaldo cried for their own last dance.

5 European teams in the last 8. Might be 6.

This WC should be UEFA's

AGAIN there was no advantage by Salah because He had LOST THE BALL. He was NOT KICKED nor HINDERED neither was his foot stomped.

Salah was turning and clattered with the same feet (above the ground) that was USED TO WIN THE BALL off him. Like I said before, misuse of VAR has spoiled us.

Are you reading what you're responding to? There was a touch and IT WAS NOT A KICK, OR HINDRANCE (because this means Salah was in an advantageous position to reach the ball AND HE WASN'T).

I've said it that you're free to color it with your interpretation but that trip was normal to body movement. One person turning in short space after a clean tackled and clipped is what I see and my interpretation is that it is no foul and at worst 50/50.

You are the one colouring it with your own interpretation. As if an infringement on a player in the box is nothing to you. Believe anything wey you wan believe.

I hate it when Central Defenders walk up to take penalties. Sanchez and Akanji both missed for Colombia and Switzerland respectively.
