Yeah the Egyptians were overpowered by the Argentinians wasn't so much as a bottle job.

That said Hassem Hassan going off injured spoilt the Egyptians momentum.

That said I think they were a bit naive to have gone gong ho after conceding the equalizer.

Odunayaw:
It is Senegal that is deserving of flogging not Egypt. The momentum was never with Egypt. Yes they could have held on but it is not like Senegal's match where they relinquished their momentum and became wussies

Really? Dude impressed me. Intelligent player used his abilities to maximum effect.

TheSuperNerd:
That Black Egyptian #12, Haissem Hassan is a Foreign Born that switched allegiance from France to Egypt earlier this year. He plays for Real Oviedo and balled in La Liga this past season. You could easily see his impact on the Egyptian team. Baller!

His side was eventually relegated to La Liga 2 ahead of 2026/27.

Too bad the Argies took him out and he had to be subbed coz of injury on 73mins. The lad dey ball.

What you are selling is not fact but bias. Did he touch or not? Did the touch prevent Saleh from contesting the ball? YES. Stop deceiving yourself there was no touch.
NO. The touch DID NOT prevent Salah.

Considering how late the equalizer came, they could have played to run down the clock. But then it would have taken probably a dirty foul and antiques to break the momentum of Argentina.

Egypt would have made me crash out terribly for deceiving us by taking a 2 goal lead. Where is the dark arts they love to use in Africa undecided

No agenda should be tolerated. The overturned Zico goal mirrors Osimhen's own at 2023 AFCON SF against SA. And there was no foul on Salah, it is rather the shirt tug by McAllister that was worthy of review.
It is the misuse of VAR that has made people expect a foul from just anything.

I just think they no longer have that large talent pool; gone are the days Brazilian players flooded Serie A and LaLiga. In fact, if you're a Brazilian playing in the EPL, then you'll hardly ever get a call-up to the national team, as the EPL was regarded as lightweight compared to LaLiga and Serie A, where players like Romario, Rivaldo, Roberto Carlos, and Ronaldinho flourished, but now a Brazilian playing for Sunderland or PSV (no pun intended) will be regarded as a star. Vini is the only player in that mould.

Are talentless children only assigned to Brazil in this age or it's the coaching technique that has lost eyes for scouting?

It's scary how the last time I was afraid for the team about to face Brazil was 2013
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by daveP(m): 1:55pm On Jul 08
It will be cool to see Mbappe beckon his teammates to walk off the pitch after one vivid ojoro.

That will end this corrupt organisation called FIFA. Let every association go face their own football. There's nothing fair about this game and this is even beyond anything that has to do with Ronaldo and Messi. It's a full commerical ponzi scheme. Sepp Blatter and Michel Platini laid the groundwork and here we are. If Var existed in Blatter times, just imagine who that old man for don use am give titles😂😂😂😂😂

Only 2 continents don win am. That aside, actions and reactions shape how continental competitions are done. Just to please one over the other.

For me it’s talent cos every nation goes through that patch, even the Dutch were struggling to qualify for the World Cup some years ago, a team that was once a-washed with stars both in starting line up and the bench. See Italy too who Dey there? Even our dear super eagles remove Lookman and osihmen wetin remain? 😂
