Whether "school na scam or not" is subjective. What I am certain is objective is that it is not the only way to make it - education is a constant in importance, though.

How does he know he's doing better than his tutors? ... what yardstick is he using ? ... location? .. as in I'm living abroad while you're still in Nigeria? .... cars? .. I have a Benz and you're driving Toyota? ... money? If he never went to school ... would he have reached where he is today? Jf we use money to determine success ... then a man who is broke ... kidnaps a rich guy ... gets paid millionsss in ransom ... is now rich ... is he successful?

Alaye wants to trend . It has been a long time we heard about him.

Now, we all know he is still alive.

I just hope his children are not in school so as not to be a victim of the scam.

Baba all the lecturers I know are doing well, rich and some , even super rich.

Don't rate them with cars , you will never know their true worth. All the lecturers I know are employers. Even the ones that don't have companies have investments heavily in real estate , but still driving cheap cars to deceive people
You mean lecturers in private schools?

Which one is all the lecturers you know are rich? Rich as how? People on government payroll? And people who multi task students before they can get something? Is that what you call rich?

Oga an average business man in onitsha, Aba or Lagos is 1000 times Richer than all the lecturers you know combined together.

I am talking about average business man without education. Dey play.

well maybe the ones in your family are poor. Pls don't generalize that.

Lecturers I know aren't poor, and that is a fact. The ones lecturing in faculty of medical sciences own hospitals, ,the ones lecturing in engineering departments own firms , and consults for companies. I have never met any lecturer that is poor. Don't joke with those guys. You can ramble all the rubbish you want, that is your business. I have facts first hand. Many people tend to rate them with the cars they drive, rubbish! Bring 1000 lecturers, more than 60% of them are rich. Continue wailing
Oga, an a average business man is Aba is 1000 times Richer than that one you know that has hospital. Dey play. A business man has 4 houses all the houses are 4-4 story buildings with warehouses everywhere. Don't ever try comparing.

Those lecturers you're seeing that probably own hospitals didn't make their money from lecturing. Most made the money through fraud (they give their pharmaceutical certificate out to to those who'll use it to cliche contracts) and give them their own share of the proceeds. Others got connections and worked in government agencies and then decided to opt for lecturing Job after making money.

No let anybody whine you. Aside private universities, any lecturer you see that you think is rich didn't get his money from lecturing.

Education doesn't to a great extent determine who will be poor or rich, so it can't be a scam, bro.
Re: There Is Some Truth To ‘School na Scam’ – Jim Iyke by franvincoop: 4:29pm On Jul 09
Some people pass through school but school no pass through them.
A classic example is this Jim Iyke.
Olodo uprising even people wey get certificate plus half educated ones plenty inside the uprising.
If not, how can you be comparing watermelon with pineapple?
You were a student and when you graduated you became an actor, not a teacher, then you start saying you are richer than your lecturer who is a teacher rather than an actor.
He was supposed to work as a lecturer before telling us that he is richer than his lecturer, then we would believe him.
By the way, Jim Iyke na old timers Nollywood VCR cassette rewinding and scratched CD star.
In today's digital world of Nollywood, this guy is a nobody.
Let him tell us how he is richer than Funke, then I will take him very serious. Bruto

Lucymercy:
School no be scam...he choose the wrong narrative to as a case study.
Lecturer are not poor.
In case you miss it...you are supposed to be richer than your lecturer
A sportsman is supposed to be better than his/her coach
When you are taught a craft the person expect you to do better than him. In case Jim does not the lecturer/teacher expect their students to excel in life....they are disappointed if they are not.

Jimoh Ikenna (a.k.a., Jim Iyke) is an Olodo. Lecturers taught you, moulded you, and prepared you to be a better adult. They did so without the thought of competing with you. They all wanted you to be successful in your endeavors. Only for you to come out now and start talking nonsense about your lectures. Olodo uprising chairman!!!

If he has a modicum of sense, he'd know that the academia is a citadel of knowledge, not a money-making ideal. Even Einstein was not "rich" in Jim Iyke's sense.
It seems he did not learn anything from all the time he spent there.
