Amedino99:
Americans are only capitalists when it suits them. The women team used the #meetoo movement then to strongarm the men team to this deal as at that period. Remembered when they took their FA to court for this deal. Same way the NBA is bankrolling the WNBA and those ones are still fighting for higher pays even tho they dont earn enough.
BTW, the same thing is happening in Nigeria. I'll be the last person to advocate that both national teams be paid the same thing. Makes no sense. Each team should be paid in accordance to their earnings.

But I'll forever be an advocate for both teams being treated the same particularly with respect to welfare. It's not common knowledge, but the Super Eagles and Super Falcons don't lodge in the same quality of hotel particularly in Nigeria. Whenever the Falcons camp in Abuja, they get taken to one backwater hotel that they'll never envisage to take the men to. Every time I see the ladies in that hotel I feel very bad cause it is literally the bare minimum expected of any FA.

At some point you'll remember the girls had to shout on social media cause the lodged them in an hotel where some of them were expected to share a bed. Read that again, national team Super falcons players were told to share a bed. I could go on and one about the insufficiency of kits, and how that the girls didn't get their training kit at the last WAFCON till the final game and had to manually do wash and wear the entire tournament.

The Falcons have a WAFCON tournament plus world cup qualification to execute, beginning later this month and the NFF couldn't be bothered to organise quality friendlies for them. The girls had to take to social media to complain and even with that the best the could muster was a double header with Senegal which they only got last minute. In the same period they got multiple friendlies lined up for the super eagles who by the way didn't qualify for the world cup and haven't done so for 2 consecutive ones.

You'll notice the Super Falcons never gets taken to Calabar like the men to execute their matches. They condemn them to with the horrible pitch in Abuja or take them to Remo's stadium in Ikenne as their home turf.

All of the aforementioned have nothing to do with pay but about treating the most successful national team in Nigeria & Africa's history with some dignity and respect. So if tomorrow there's some form of advocacy for the falcons and because of how historically bad they've been treated the men now cower to save face (won't happen) I hope you folks understand the historicity of the matter.

Today is a good day. 😁

Also, can we agree that at this point France is Morocco's husband? Back to back World Cup dominations now.
All my ten green bottles have been knocked off the wall.

I am a happy man.

Algeria being linked with Chelle is all noise and no substance.
Petkovic is still owed. 😂

To all those shaking in their boots initially, there was always nothing to shake about. 😆

World cup is over for every African team so everybody don humble, let them all come back and let's have fun as we prepare for the next AFCON. At least all the roasting of Nigeria has ended about us not qualifying blah blah blah...now we can all begin our different realities on the same level as we start on a clean and new slate under Eric Chelle. After all has been said and done, Nigeria is still 28 ranked in the world and now 4th in Africa despite the world cup absence, so we still get levels at least.
26 in the world

A positive side of the Super Eagles under Chelle is that they can now put the smaller teams in their place, and they would have qualified directly from the WC qualifier group if they had Chelle then. They have gotten good results against smaller teams in AFCON and Unity Cup, unlike the struggles they had before against smaller teams that made people to nearly conclude there are "no more minors in football".
Eric Chelle that still hasn't renewed his contract? Lol. I hope you don't get a heart attack soon.

Could easily have ended 3-0 or 4-0 that's how dominant the French were.

Maroc haven't jammed a team that made them look ordinary like that in a while.

TheSuperNerd:
The Scary "Les Bleus" absolutely decimated Morocco from min 1 to Min 90+. 8 shots on target vs Maroc's 1; 22 shots vs 5 shots. It was a one sided affair as Bounou was kept busy through the entire ordeal. France deservedly march on in Mega Commanding fashion. The win was so dominant that France could afford to throw away a penalty plus Mbappe knew the work was done by 77mins so he asked to be subbed off. Well done to the Atlas Lions for finishing as Africa's best at another WC edition (this time as quarterfinalist, a drop down from semifinalist in 2022) but they were never in the contest vs France.

🔰Now, 6 out of my 12 Favorites/Darkhorses/Outside force selections are still in. 6 are now OUT.

5 of the 6 OUT got booted out by 5 of the 6 still in the competition.

And, 2 more will inevitably fall in the quarter finals coz 4 of the 6 left so far meet one another_* (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿v🇸🇯 & 🇪🇦v🇧🇪). Argentina meets Switzerland, which is not in this selection.

Quarter Finals Action continues

🟣Next-up in this selection:
🟢 Spain (Top 5 Fav) vs Belgium (Darkhorse) on July 10th.

Top 5 Favs in no order:
- Spain✅️✅️*(Quarter finals)*
- France✅️✅️✅️*(Semifinals)*
- Portugal✅️❌️⭕️
- Argentina✅️✅️*(Quarter finals)*
- England✅️✅️*(Quarter finals)*

Solid Dark horses:
- Brazil❌️❌️⭕️
- Germany❌️❌️
- Netherlands❌️❌️
- Belgium✅✅️*(Quarter finals)*
- Croatia (coz of their last 2 WCs)❌️❌️
- Norway✅️✅️*(Quarter finals)*

Outside Force:
- Morocco✅️✅️❌️⭕️

Miles ahead couldn't beat us in 120 minutes despite home advantage and biased ref.

And we didn't park the bus o.

Bamidele Yusuf scored as he helped his side, Ferencvaros of Hungary to a 2-1 away win over Vojvodina(Serbia) in the First leg of the Europa League First Qualifying Round.

Clinton Jeptha played 88mins for FC Inter Turku (Finland) in their 1-1 away draw at Bosnia's FK Sarajevo in the Uefa European Conference league 1st Qualifying Round.
I remember Jephtha from that U17 set. I think his set followed Mbappe set. Where's Mbappe playing now sef

🚨 Positive signals for Trabzonspor in Tolu Arokodare transfer!

🔵🔴 It's reported that #Trabzonspor's desired loan target Tolu Arokodare has spoken with Paul Onuachu, who wears the maroon-blue jersey, to learn about the club, the city, and the team's structure.

🤝 The Nigerian striker, who received a positive reference from Onuachu, is said to look favorably on Trabzonspor.

📋 While Trabzonspor has submitted a loan offer to #Wolverhampton, the English club is requesting that the player's full salary be covered for the transfer to go through.

We have a better head to head record against them, so no, that's outrageously false. I know the WCQ still dey pain you but relax.

Last I checked, no African country outrightly dominates us when it comes to h2h. The few who are ahead of us (Algeria and Morocco) are only ahead by one or two games.

Ghana is the only team with a strong record against us and it's simply because of the lopsided head to head matches that played in their favor during the 60s and 70s (I wonder which kind swegbe teams we had then), but if you check from the year 2000 till date, we've gotten the better of Ghana in most games.

On the flip side, there are many teams in Africa wey be our wife. Starting with South Africa. We dey knack them steady, although recently they've managed to drag us to some stalemates.

Egypt too surprisingly. Our head to head against them is almost lopsided in our favor.

Mali, Cameroon, Tunisia and even Senegal are beneath us going by head to head.

Ivory Coast and us are about dead even, I think.

This is all based on the last time I checked which was just before this last AFCON. Although the site now is not reachable, I'd have linked it, but I'll try and find receipts still.

Long story short, there's no African team that consistently has our number.
