This Norway vs England game really could go either way at this point.

Norway especially keep testing that English defence.

Yeah. Norway are one good cross away from retaking a late lead

Oscar Bobb and Nusa are how confident wingers should play when goals are critically needed.

I hate wingers that cannot drive the ball before attempting to cross.

There is difference between "to flop" and "to disappoint"
I'm not writing them off,and also won't be depending on them.

Dribbling and beating the likes of Zimbabwe, Benin and Malawi means nothing to me,if when I need you to dominate and defeat the likes of Senegal and Morocco, and you would be outplayed and be defeated.
Femi and Zadok haven't even gotten a chance to play any significant games for Nigeria yet and you've already concluded they are lightweight? I don't quite follow your logic honestly.

They've been live wire in this match.

Last winger duo who were sharp as a pin in this WC was Diomande-Amad

But how are Norway able to cut so many passes in the final third?

Elite level performance i must say.

Firstly, I didn't say he is not good or he didn't do well for ivoire coast at this WC. His general way of play isn't special.

Haha boardroom antics, what has naija achieved in the WC after several appearances. Let's even leave our Golden generation from over 30 years ago out of reapect for those stars

chrisooblog:
The Moroccans sef you're hyping in the cold light of objective analyses what did they actually do? Drew with one of the poorest Brazilians teams in recent years, Beat an above average Netherlands on penalties, and get outclassed by France that Senegal went toe to toe with.

So I should quake in my pants because they defeated world super powers Scotland, Haiti, Canada? Really?

Nigeria should do better but use a more appropriate example for comparison not a country relying on board room antics to win an undeserved title.

Morocco didn't play shingbai. Only one shot on target and that was in the 86' or so.

They were outplayed.

Played like which title contenders with one shot on target in the whole match that only came in the 86th minute?

I never said I was happy and content we lost to them. Even that loss was down to the lottery of penalties. You're the one claiming the Moroccans are some magnificent team way beyond other African contenders when I can't see any evidence to suggest why.

What matters is the titles,
Morocco is yet to win anything at the world cup,we are more or less the same at the world stage.
But on the continent, they are far behind.

Chukwueze isn't a starter right now until he sorts out his form and inconsistency, Akor is definitely likely a starter under Chelle...but that RW is still up for grabs so any player who impresses can take that spot.

In the end, The ThreeLions Knights turned the tide.

3 of my Top 5 favs are now in the Semis. It could be 4 if Argentina makes it vs Switzerland but time will tell.

The Three Lions of England navigate an intense affair vs The Norwegian Vikings thanks to the Brilliant Brace of Jude Bellingham. Erling Haaland got caged by the Country he plies his club trade in. The "It's coming home" chants shall ring across London and other English cities now despite a potential clash vs Messi and co (only if they survive the Swiss). The Final 4 will be complete tomorrow and England shall know who stands between them and destiny.

🔰Now, 4 out of my 12 Favorites/Darkhorses/Outside force selections are still in. 8 are OUT.
7 of the 8 OUT got booted out by 4 of the 4 still in the competition.

Quarter Finals Action wraps up...

The Reigning European Champions, La Furia Roja march on comfortably after a 2-1 win over the Belgian red devils who did not really trouble the Spaniards. 17 shots vs 5 shots, 8 on target vs 2 on target. 57%🇪🇦 vs 35%🇧🇪 (8% in contest) tell a good part of the story. This win sets up a truly titanic WC Semifinals clash and a de ja vu meeting between the 2 most powerful European Football Giants today. In one Corner, France (Current World #1 in the Live FIFA World Rankings: Was #2 prior to the WC Opener) and in the other corner, Spain (Current World #2 in the Live FIFA World Rankings: was #3 prior to the WC). Their last 2 meetings came in the Semifinals of Major competitions (Euros 2024 and Uefa Nations League 2024/25) and going a bit further back saw them face off in the final of the 2020/21 Uefa Nations league. Mbappe & Oyarzabal were present even in 2021. THIS 2026 Episode of the 🇫🇷vs🇪🇦 Clash is definitely gonna be legendary.

🔰Now, 5 out of my _12 Favorites/Darkhorses/Outside force_ selections are still in. 7 are OUT.
6 of the 7 OUT got booted out by 5 of the 5 still in the competition.

And, 1 more will inevitably fall in the quarter finals coz 2 of the 5 left so far meet each another_* (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿v🇸🇯). Argentina meets Switzerland, which is not in this selection.

Your favorites/dark horses list has 12 teams which is 25% of the all participating teams. I think it’s too much. Gave yourself too much room to correctly predict the semifinalists wink

This is a superficial view because I was very analytical in my picks. And 12 out of 48 of which all 12 made the Knockouts and all of them (except just one) being knocked out by teams that progressed further in my list or teams in the semis in my list shows I carefully picked a solid 12 and an IronClad Top 5.

It had 12 teams because I had a breakdown that included sides I picked as darkhorses and outside force aside the my clear top 5.

If I was doing random guesswork, 3 of the teams I clearly picked as Top 5 favorites wont be in the semis. That 3 of them are in the semis and make my top 5 favs shows you my picks are still very much spot on, chosen from a place of careful pretournament analysis and were determined/posted before the WC began. I kept to the list. It never changed.

So perhaps you should have made your own list and see how well it fares. grin
