Can plateau indigenous people also get same from any core Northern state? Just like the Sharia law and the useless lies of it being for Muslims only and won't affect visitors but till now 2026, people are not allowed to walk freely with the opposite sex, eat pork and drink beer peacefully in so many states in Northern Nigeria. After this they will demand for Sharia law and Sharia police so this must not be accepted until there's a balance in demands, justice and equal rights. |

if this case gets to the supreme court and they rule in favour of the Hausa community, it automatically means that anyone born anywhere in Nigeria becomes an indigene of wherever he//she was born regardless of the parents state of origin |

Would ethnically chauvinistic late Buhari have issued an indigineship certificate to an Igbo Christian born up north in Katsina, if he( Buhari) worked at the local council in Katsina during his lifetime? I was born outside Igboland within the Nigerian borders, I cannot imagine asking the natives of where I was born to grant me an indigeneship certificate.. This is Nigeria, where the same loudmouths who shout 'One Nigeria' will tell other tribes to 'go back to your states'. The 'One Nigeria' sounds good to their ears when they are partaking in the sharing of Oil resources accrued from the land of other tribes, but when it comes to enjoying other socio-political factors like voting where you live, they shout 'Go back to your States'. They know themselves.. ![]() |

Hausa really need to reclaim their Identify, they should keep Islam aside because it's the same Islam blood tasty Fulanis are using against them. An average Hausa Man/ woman should see Islam as an instrument of suppression and domination used by the Fulani against them. They should start by not voting Fulani into position of authority |

The ruling is dangerous and is going to set very dangerous precedent, if not quashed now. Everyone has a place they are indigenous to, why try to claim another man's territory? This is a recipe for unending chaos. It does not matter how long your forefathers have stayed in a place, you still have your root somewhere. I think it's unfair to start dragging indigenous right with the aboriginals who owns the place. |

THMT:Most northern states are the benchmark for hypocrites, what they will never allow to happen in let say Kano, Sokoto, Zamfara and the rest they will gladly want to force their way in... |

The fulanis wants to take over the middle belt by all means, it's unfortunate that the yorubas are in full support of the war on the middle belt in exchange for a few years in aso rock, it didn't occur to them that its turn by turn. |

NetbizBoss:qThey deceived them with Islam and gave them a false hope of oneness. Till today, current generation of hausa's are suffering the cowardness and gullibility of their ancestors and fathers who allowed the fulanis to settle with them. Their forefathers are to blame! |
| Re: Plateau Court Adjourns Hearing On Appeal Against Hausa Indigeneship Ruling by Parachoko: 11:25am On Jul 13 |
A Hausa man can't be an indigene of Jos just the way a Berom man can't be an Indigene of Kano The Court shouldn't give a judgement that will lead to Anarchy |

Emmani360:That's what we're all afraid of. Everyone ought to identify with the origins of his/her parents |

Emmani360:But it has been like that for long nah, i thought if you live in a state for 10 years, you can get the LGA of it |

Cutezt:This write up is somewhat.... If the Father is truly an indigene of the area then which tribe is the Father and is his tribe indigenous to that area ? I could guess and understand the reason why the LGAC gave and insisted that they are given certificate of residency rather than certificate of indigene because the other person who was given a certificate of indigene is clearly of Berom ethnicity which is indigenous to the area they are. The Court should look into this issue and do what is in the best interest of the land rather than acting in what will in future cause issues. If an igbo man is born and breed in a LGA in Kano, will the Kano LGA agree to give a certificate of indigene to that person if they are to go by thr constitution and will the indigenous people of the land allow same when he is of age to come out for an elective position in that LGA....!!?!?! Nigeria is a multicultural cum religious State, alot has to be respected using wisdom rather than some persons quoting the law and playing naive.... |

Emmani360:Oh yeah and this will be a win win for all the Igbos born all over the regions in Nigeria especially South West and Lagos in particular where Yorubas have been trying so hard to deny Igbos indigenounship |
| Re: Plateau Court Adjourns Hearing On Appeal Against Hausa Indigeneship Ruling by Skullminers1: 5:55pm On Jul 13 |
Wow this is a great news if this ruling is in favour of the Hausas because this will motivate Igbos born all over Nigeria especially South West where they were being denied as Indigens to follow same court procedures to become Indigens of Lagos,Abuja, etc |
| Re: Plateau Court Adjourns Hearing On Appeal Against Hausa Indigeneship Ruling by Skullminers1: 6:01pm On Jul 13 |
Dalohad:You really know them, jealous and envious people but I really hope this indigenship will fully be implemented cos it will leads to some particular tribes to drink sniper when Igbos they are busy chasing around finally become Indigens of Lagos they don't want to use ear hear Igbos mentioned no man's land |
| Re: Plateau Court Adjourns Hearing On Appeal Against Hausa Indigeneship Ruling by Skullminers1: 6:08pm On Jul 13 |
Buhari4dullard:This is exactly what will going to happen if the Hausas won Jos North indigenouship because Lagos state will be a testing ground for Igbos Yorubas have been denying indigenouship for decades |
| Re: Plateau Court Adjourns Hearing On Appeal Against Hausa Indigeneship Ruling by Skullminers1: 6:15pm On Jul 13 |
obiekunie01:Am telling you cos this judgement if it favours Hausas it will definitely favour Igbos that were born all over Nigeria which they are second in population after the Indigens of the states and trust me one particular tribe that don't want us to rest because of Lagos will cry blood hahaha. I can't wait for this news to be a reality because Igbos they refuse and deny to leave their Nigeria will finally dominate and take over Nigeria one way or another hahahaha |
