Oriire Abduction: Kidnappers Killed Two Captives to Pressure Government — Principal

The Principal of Community High School, Ahoro-Esiele, Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, Mrs. Rachael Alamu, has revealed that the kidnappers responsible for the abduction of pupils and teachers deliberately killed two of her colleagues in an attempt to pressure the government into meeting their demands.

Speaking about the ordeal in the Oyo state governor office on Monday, Mrs. Alamu said the abductors executed two members of the group at different times during their captivity to intensify fear and force the authorities to concede to their demands.

According to her, Mr. Michael Oyedokun was killed on the second day of their captivity, while Deacon John Olaleye was killed on the first Sunday of June.

"They killed them purposely because they felt that would force the government to give them whatever they wanted," she said.

The principal's account sheds more light on the harrowing experience endured by the abducted pupils and teachers before they were eventually rescued by security forces after spending several weeks in captivity.

They were not rescued. They were released by the terrorists. Nigerian government under Tinubu lacks political will and technology to go for such high risk rescue mission. They mostly use non-kinetic approach (negotiation, ransom payments etc)

The video below isn't a rescue attempt. It's a patrol to pickup the captives after their release by the terrorists.

Where are the kidnappers if truly the Federal Government faced off with them? I believe they paid ransom or it was politically motivated. Mind you, the government can sacrifice two lives to achieve their aims. They can even sacrifice 200 lives. Remember Dele Giwa, Dipo Dina, Bola Ige and Funsho Williams.
